The County Council (A1133 Girton and Spalford Area) (Environmental Weight Restriction) 2020 (3297)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effects of which will be, in respects of roads at Spalford in the District of Newark & Sherwood: -

No heavy commercial vehicle shall proceed in the following lengths of road bounded by the highway boundary of: - Roads at Spalford in the District of - The following roads: a) Sand Lane/Eagle Road/Spalford Road: From its junction with the A1133 to the county boundary between Nottinghamshire and b) Rabbithill Lane from its junction with Sand Lane to its junction with Spalford Lane. c) Spalford Lane from its junction with Rabbithill Lane to the county boundary between Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. No heavy commercial vehicle shall proceed in the following lengths of road between the hours of 7pm and 7am bounded by the highway boundary of: - Roads at Besthorpe and Girton in the District of Newark and Sherwood The following roads: a) A1133 Gainsborough Road: from its junction with Girton Lane at Girton to its junction with Sand Lane at Spalford (an approximate distance of 2878 metres) b) Chapel Lane for its entire length c) Rabbithill Lane from its junction with Spalford Lane to its junction with New Lane. d) New Lane for its entire length e) Trent Lane for its entire length f) Green Lane for its entire length g) High Street for its entire length h) West Lane for its entire length i) Proctors Drive for its entire length j) Tinkers Lane for its entire length Relevant documents may be inspected at during opening hours: - (a) The Nottinghamshire County Council, County Hall, Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 7QP. The purpose of the Weight Restriction Order is to prevent the use of an unsuitable rural and village highway network by HGV through-traffic. Exemptions will apply to vehicles requiring access to premises within the restricted lengths of roads.
