Issue No.1 – Volume 11 – SPRING 2010 - On Line – WWW.HSRAA.ORG HSRAA’S 2010 REUNION CELEBRATES – “MY MOST FAVORITE SCOUT LEADER AT SUMMER CAMP” A SCOUTING 100TH BIRTHDAY EVENT RE-CONNECTING WITH OUR PAST LEADERS ―Scoutmasters, I salute you, I ask that you do not return the salute.‖… How many times have we all heard that phrase, as the embers begin to burn low at the closing campfire? Leaders, proud of their Scouts‘ many accomplishments that have been recognized that night, are coaxed into a horseshoe formation for a word of thanks by the Camp Director. Thousands of Scout Leaders have given their time and effort over the last 83 summers so that Scouts could experience the brotherhood of Scouting and the Spirit of Horseshoe Scout Reservation. The Horseshoe Scout Reservation Alumni Association has dedicated our 11th reunion, in the Boy Scouts of America’s 100th Anniversary year, to honor Horseshoe’s Scoutmasters and Leaders – please have them return with you for this salute. We are asking that you reach out to the leaders that you know and remember, and bring them with you, be it in person or in spirit. The festivities will take place 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Saturday, July 10, at the Goodman Pavilion at Camp Horseshoe. Attendees will have the afternoon to once again collect the dust of Horseshoe in their moccasins by touring the Reservation, renewing old friendships, and sharing memories. Everyone is encouraged to bring HSR photos and memorabilia to display and also documents for inclusion in the HSRAA Virtual Museum. -

In order to connect recipients of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and other low-income persons with jobs that are often located in suburban areas with minimal public transportation from urban and rural areas, appropriate and affordable transportation is essential. Therefore, the Departments of Public Welfare and Transportation (PENNDOT) established the welfare to work (w2w) Transportation Demonstration Program with these four Objectives: Formation of Partnerships - for cooperation and coordination between the transit provider and local organizations essential to the project. -

2015-03-27 Idleair Press Release at MATS 2015
IdleAir 2567 Prime Way, Suite 101 Knoxville, TN 37918 (865) 232-1700 NEWS RELEASE For immediate release March 27, 2015 Contact: Jeff Maurer, (865) 232-1700 IdleAir Press Release at the 2015 Mid-America Trucking Show LOUISVILLE, KY: Convoy Solutions, LLC celebrated its fifth anniversary operating as IdleAir since February 2010. Since resuscitating IdleAir from the ashes of a formerly terminated business, we have realized a number of milestones: IdleAir preserved a proprietary remotely managed “virtual motel” network with over 1,000 active rooms and more than 6,000 parking spaces of intact expansion capacity. The durable high voltage infrastructure we rescued had an original cost of more than $150mm and in many cases has significantly exceeded its design life with very few mechanical challenges. Since 2011 we have doubled our footprint of locations to more than 40 truckstops and fleet terminals. This month we opened the Latta, SC Flying J, which is our second solar-PV powered truckstop. We’ve also just completed construction of our first of several planned dedicated IdleAir terminals with Covenant Transport at their Headquarters and national training facility in Chattanooga, TN. IdleAir broke ground this week in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico with our first-ever operation outside of the USA with EGOBA Transportadora. We are proud to be exporting our home grown American fuel saving, carbon mitigating technology to customers anywhere in the world that IdleAir can be most impactful and profitable. We successfully launched discount pricing bundles this past year, like the now popular “40 hour Reset Special” and our 10-hour “ConvoyTV+Power™ Special”. -

Administration of Donald J. Trump, 2017 Remarks at a Meeting With
Administration of Donald J. Trump, 2017 Remarks at a Meeting With Members of the Trucking Industry on Health Care Reform March 23, 2017 The President. We've got some big truckers here. You guys are the biggest guys in the business, huh? I'm looking around. I read about you in all the magazines. Good. And you're the ones that make more money though, which is—[laughter]. Participant. It's supply and demand. [Laughter] The President. That's good. Great. [Laughter] It's great to be with you, and I don't know whose starting it off. Should I start it of? I'll start it off. Okay? First of all, I want to thank you for your support on health care. That's been great. I know you had a big problem with Obamacare, and everybody does, so welcome to the crowd. But I very much appreciate you being here, and I very much appreciate your support. I'm honored to welcome all of the many truckers and the trucking industry leaders to the White House. And I must say, really, you are the leaders. You are the big ones. I'm very impressed I was able to get you. I think it was the White House that was able to get you. [Laughter] No one knows America like truckers know America. You see it every day, and you see every hill, and you see every valley, and you see every pothole in our roads that have to be redone. Interchange 28 to US 130 (NJ), and portions of I-95 AQ Code 2015/20 Bristol Twp. New full interchange, related widening, and new toll plazas. This is a major Interstate gap completion project which will establish continuity of the Interstate system by joining together I-95 and I-276 in Pennsylvania and facilitate a revised routing of I-95 in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The project anticipates construction of a full interchange between I-95 and the PA Turnpike, including the relocation of toll plazas, widening I-95 between PA 413 and US 1 from two lanes in each direction to three, and widening the Turnpike between between US 1 and US 13 from two lanes in each direction to three. This is a partnership project of the PA Turnpike, PennDOT and FHWA. A Major Investment Study was completed in 1997. The Draft Environmental Impact Statement is scheduled for mid-2000 and a Record of Decision is anticipated by mid-2001. Until that time, final decisions can not be made for the right-of-way and construction phases, nor will firm cost estimates be available until the completion of the final design. Though the total project cost has not yet been determined, recent estimates put it at about $485 million (not including costs that might be associated with the construction of a new bridge or the reconstruction of the existing bridge.) Over $227 million in Federal Aid Interstate construction funds are reserved for the project.
