Heldenfels reports that, “With rare clips and revealing interviews and a remarkable soundtrack, Scorsese tells you everything that you need to know about Dylan’s life and career.” No Direction Home is part of a special Talking ’bout My Generation broadcast event on PBS 45 & 49, Sept. 26-29. The prime time event includes several documentaries and biographies about the extraordinary people and the groundbreaking music that shaped one of the most incredible decades in American history: Get Up, Stand Up: The Story of Pop and Protest, airing Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Best of , airing Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 11 p.m. to 12 midnight; and The Sixties: The Years That Shaped a Generation, airing Thursday, Sept. 29 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. PBS 45 & 49 will also premiere its local production about Akron’s music scene in the 1970s, called If You’re Not Dead, Play!! PBS 45 & 49, the Akron-Summit County Public Library and The University of Akron School of Communication will host a big-screen premiere of the new documentary on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium, 60 S. High St. in downtown Akron.

Unit 5 and Chi Pig, two of the bands featured prominently in the documentary, will present rare live performances.
