Such were the details of this anonymous, random act of kindness, a spontaneous act from a stranger who was willing to open not only her heart but her wallet. As I heard this recounted over the phone I thought, “Wow, what an amazing story.” In our lives we all have had our ups and downs, our triumphs and struggles. But how many of us have had some one there to help pick us up in our difficult times? Knowing that someone cares enough to help means a lot to all of us, but when a complete stranger lends a helping hand when times are tough, it speaks volumes about the people in this community.
