Math and Logic Activities

• Play a board or card that includes math such as Quacks, Mille Borne, Parks, Monopoly, Sleeping Queens, Dutch Blitz, Set, etc. • Head to Math Playground and play some video for the grade you just completed as well as the one you are going into • Play a version of War but with fractions, decimals, addition, etc. • Make a cootie catcher with math problems for the counting rules • Build fractions or practice multiplication using building bricks • Play some domino math games • Play dice cup stacking games • Practice your math facts with flashcards- say them out loud • Do a math worksheet • Do a puzzle • Build a big hopscotch board and play it • Cook something then divide it equally among the family • Walk the Land of the Nephites • Do an Escape Room (try out the online ones from the library) • Make at least 4 Spirolaterals- you will need graph paper. • Do some geoboard pattern cards • Build a Lego mosaic • Draw geometric math art with circles using a compass • Make a Rhombicuboctahedron or a Dodecahedron • Have a graphing race • Do some money activities • Find a Way to Make 10 (15, 20, etc) using a deck of cards- only flip four up at a time- need someone to play with • Design a menu and your own money- let’s use it at lunch • Invent your own board game • Play checkers or chess • Make a map using graph paper.
