You have had to adapt to the increased demand for sustainably produced, long-life foodstuff s and high customer fl ows. And we, too, have been fortunate enough to continue to grow and satisfy the demand without major supply problems. So let’s look forward to 2021 optimistically together! At the start of the year, we are shining the spotlight on our premium Byodo oils, focussing especially on our Frying Oil Rapeseed with its valuable fatty acid content, which we are promoting in a variety of ways in the scope of a large media cooperation with the well-known German women’s magazine BRIGITTE. In the spring, we will be dedicating a large campaign to the topic of picnics and surprising you with exciting cooperations in print and social media as well as a word-of-mouth (WOM) campaign. Please join us in looking forward to a wonderful picnic season and an exciting 2021 with Byodo! Your Byodo team Stephanie Moßbacher & Andrea Sonnberger Quality – our central Pillar For us, off ering ”The very best in organic food” means far more than simply using the best ingredients. A particularly high quality standard is a fundamental part of our day-to-day work across the board, from the respectful way we treat our partners to the cooperation within our team to our friendly interaction with you and your customers. For us, quality also means off ering you exceptional customer service and ensuring that our activities have as positive an eff ect on nature and the environment as possible. In this special way, we naturally impart our quality standards into each and every one of our 100% organic products too. Double quality assurance, performed by both our partner suppliers and Byodo’s in-house QA team, ensures optimum product safety. Random sample checks and regular supplier audits complement our quality assurance eff orts. Unfortunately, we were not able to include our sensory panels in the product development and further development work as often as usual in 2020. We do hope to be able to call on our established pool of trained end consumers and our in-house team of sensory exports again soon though. Nevertheless, the delicious taste and outstanding quality of the Byodo products still impressed the judges in a variety of competitions in 2020/2021! The popular and valuable Frying Oil Rapeseed convinced 100 buyers of organic goods and BioVerlag readers, leading to it being named ”Bestes Bio 2021” (Best Organic Product 2021). We are also particularly proud of the range of new DLG Gold Medals and the ”sehr gut” (very good) test result from Ökotest for the Byodo Tomato Ketchup, without granulated sugar. 3 The Finest RANGE OF PRIZED OILS All Byodo oils are harvested during the fi rst pressing using the cold-pressing technique. Whilst the precious virgin oils are subsequently only fi ltered and bottled, the successful Byodo oils for daily use also undergo careful deodorisation. This extracts the intense and heat-sensitive colourings and fl avourings from the oils, making them particularly suitable for use at high temperatures. As such, the baking oil range, developed in cooperation with the BRIGITTE editorial team, also displays perfect baking qualities! Whilst the two baking oils ensure that cakes taste lighter, moister and particularly fresh and fl avourful, the practical Baking Spray Oil makes work in the kitchen deliciously easy. The mild spray oil allows simple and sparing greasing of baking tins as well as frying pans, waffl e irons and casserole dishes. The recent addition Frying Oil Rapeseed with its valuable fatty acid content also impressed the BRIGITTE editorial team and was adopted into our joint cooperation.

It was not only the heavenly smells but the love and caring that went into the preparation of our meals. From a very young age, it was typical to have both fun and serious conversations as I helped to clean and snap green beans, count the cups of flour to make bread, or shape cookie dough into circles, hearts, and triangles. Of course at the time, I never realized all the learning that was going on; for example, they were helping me build my vocabulary, teaching me to count, and demonstrating the science of yeast. But most of all, I was learning to be part of a family. Needless to say, it was much more than just learning to cook! This First 5 California recipe book includes plenty of easy-to-make, nutritious recipes, with simple ideas for making food preparation a fun and educational experience for little ones. You also will find nutritional advice and tips on how you can incorporate “teachable” moments into every dash and stir. We hope this book becomes a staple in kitchens for deliciously fun, easy ways to prepare and eat healthy food together as a family. Most of all, we hope you and your child will have the opportunity to build life-long memories in the kitchen. YOUR O.A.T. ADVENTURE TRAVEL PLANNING GUIDE® Tuscany & Umbria: Rustic Beauty in the Italian Heartland 2021 Small Groups: 8-16 travelers—guaranteed! (average of 13) Overseas Adventure Travel ® The Leader in Personalized Small Group Adventures on the Road Less Traveled 1 Dear Traveler, At last, the world is opening up again for curious travel lovers like you and me. And the O.A.T. Tuscany & Umbria itinerary you’ve expressed interest in will be a wonderful way to resume the discoveries that bring us so much joy. You might soon be enjoying standout moments like these: I love to eat in Italy (who doesn’t?) and Tuscany is truly a gastronomic playground, brimming with some of the nation’s most iconic dishes. You’ll see what I mean when you spend A Day in the Life in the Chianti Valley on a family-owned goat farm where you’ll have a chance to meet the goats, learn about organic farming practices during a stroll through the fruit and vegetable gardens, and discover the secrets of cheese-making firsthand before sitting down with your hosts for a farm-fresh lunch. While I adore so many of the Italian traditions that I’ve encountered, I was saddened to learn about a darker side of this country’s heritage and the consequences of the machismo culture: femminicidio , or violence against women. When you visit La Città delle Donne—an organization that provides vital services for victims of domestic abuse, you’ll meet some of the volunteers who work closely with the survivors.
