The Swedish Design Awards (Svenska Designpriset) is an annual graphic design competition that aims to promote and develop Swedish graphic design and communication. The com- petition is split into two main categories, Print and Web, which each contain a number of subcategories. The jury nominates 5 entries for each class and this year Lindab Direct was nominat- ed in the category for Editorial Print – company magazine. “Being nominated for a competition of this calibre feels very exhilarating on its own. Since the magazine started in the 1980s, we’ve tried to enhance both the design and the content of Lindab Direct step-by-step,” says Lars Dahlström, responsible for branding and communication at Lindab. “Naturally, we wanted to win our category of the Swedish Design Awards, but the nomination itself and a respectable third place indicate that we’re heading in the right direction. The majority of the work on assembling the partition walls remains and Joakim Andersson believes it extremely impor- tant that the remainder of this work is done so that all of the sound requirements for the premises can be met. Jonas Eriksson therefore suggests that he brings along his colleague, Joakim Lindgren, to the building site so that they can go through the partition wall assembly with the installation engineers in detail. “Receiving technical support on site is brilliant,” says Joakim Andersson. “Such a run-down with our boys will cer- tainly be valuable and give us the security of knowing how this stage should really be carried out.
