UPDATE: The ULTRASOUND Machine, a Philips Affiniti 70, for a $60,000.00 cost was delivered to the Cardiology Department. With the help of an anonymous donor and IMAS, we were able to make this valuable donation in 2019 to “Dom Zdravlja” in Mali Losinj.

When smaller donations make a big difference “On August 21st, 2018, 12 year old Luka Baricevic was playing at the playground with friends on the island of Ilovik. An accident occurred and he broke his leg. Being that the island is not medically self sufficient, he had to be directed to Rijeka.
His journey started with the use of the stretcher that was donated by IMAS. Being that he was immobile the stretcher was very accommodating for him from his boat trip between Ilovik and Otok Losinj, where the ambulance awaited his arrival.
Luka spent a week in the hospital and was bedridden for 6 weeks as he had to keep his leg elevated and was unable to bend his knee. The stretcher came into excellent use at his home as it provided easier means of transporting him around the house.
After about a month of rehabilitation on the stretcher, he was able to put to use another donation by the IMAS organization. A wheelchair for the “Ilovik Ambulanta” provided means of transportation between his home and school. Without the wheelchair it would have been very difficult for him to attend his classroom studies.
The Baricevic family is very appreciative of the donations and ongoing efforts and ideology of the IMAS organization.”

UPDATE: The ULTRASOUND Machine, a Philips Affiniti 70, for a $60,000.00 cost was delivered to the Cardiology Department. With the help of an anonymous donor and IMAS, we were able to make this valuable donation in 2019 to “Dom Zdravlja” in Mali Losinj.
Here Dr. Kristijan Muzic is using the machine to evaluate a patient. “In patients with chest pain with suspicion of coronary artery disease,. it is essential to perform electrocardiography in addition to stress testing,Cres, Losinj,in order Ilovik, to rule Susak, in or Male out & dysfunction Vele Srakane, Unije Cres, Losinj, Ilovik,Ilovik, Susak, Susak, Male Male & & Vele Vele Srakane, Srakane, Unije Unije of the heart muscle,” wrote Dr Muzic. When smaller donations make a big difference “On August 21st, 2018, 12 year old Luka Baricevic was playing at the playground with friends on the island of Ilovik. An accident occurred and he broke his leg. Being that the island is not medically self sufficient, he had to be directed to Rijeka.
His journey started with the use of the stretcher that was donated by IMAS. Being that he was immobile the stretcher was very accommodating for him from his boat trip between Ilovik and Otok Losinj, where the ambulance awaited his arrival.
Luka spent a week in the hospital and was bedridden for 6 weeks as he had to keep his leg elevated and was unable to bend his knee. The stretcher came into excellent use at his home as it provided easier means of transporting him around the house.
After about a month of rehabilitation on the stretcher, he was able to put to use another donation by the IMAS organization. A wheelchair for the “Ilovik Ambulanta” provided means of transportation between his home and school. Without the wheelchair it would have been very difficult for him to attend his classroom studies.
The Baricevic family is very appreciative of the donations and ongoing efforts and ideology of the IMAS organization.”
