    General terms and conditions for the SaastalCard and guest passes Subject 1. Guests resident at the Saas-Fee/Saas Valley location will receive a “SaastalCard” (SC) from their host for the duration of their stay, provided that the host has a valid contract with Saas- Fee/Saastal Gästekarte GmbH. If this is not the case, the guest will receive a guest pass (Gästekarte, or GK). The “SaastalCard” is like the guest pass but includes additional features (e.g. mountain lift and PostAuto services). 2. The host will prepare the SC or GK on the day of arrival. Every resident guest (aged 6 and older) receives an SC or a GK. The pass must be filled out with the owner’s surname and forename, the duration of their stay, their date of birth and their accommodation type. The SC is only valid if the guest is staying at the accommodation specified. The SC can only be issued electronically. In exceptional cases (where the lessor is not resident at the location), the SC may be printed by the tourism office for a yearly fee of 150 CHF. The information must be recorded by the lessor in the Fertatel CardSystem and must be reported to the tourism tax department at least one week prior to the guest’s arrival. The SCs are then printed by the tourism office and held at the service counter ready for collection. 3. Manually completed guest passes (for service providers without access to the internet or a printer) are numbered and are assigned to one specific user. Manually completed guest passes and electronic guest passes are considered of equal value.

    STREIFLICHTER ZUR HOTEL- UND TOURISMUSGESCHICHTE IM SAASTAL BIS ZUM ERSTEN WELTKRIEG 1 Roland Flückiger-Seiler 1 Die Entdeckung und Erforschung der Alpenwelt Wichtige Grundlagen für die Entdeckung der Schweizer Alpen als «Garten Edens» leisteten engagierte Forscher und Schriftsteller bereits im frühen 18. Jahrhun- dert. Einer der Ersten war der Zürcher Arzt und Universalgelehrte Johann Jakob Scheuchzer (1672–1733), der sich als erster Naturforscher nach dem lähmenden 17. Jahrhundert mit wissenschaftlichen Absichten in die Alpen wagte. In den Som- mermonaten durchstreifte er mit seinen Studenten alpine Gegenden und sammelte alle erdenklichen Daten über Natur und Umwelt. Mit diesem Wissen publizierte er 1713 eine vierteilige Karte der Schweiz, die lange Zeit als beste Darstellung der Eidgenossenschaft galt. Die von ihm erhobenen Daten und die eigene Beobach- tung des Gebirges auf seinen Wanderungen über fast alle Schweizer Alpenpässe bildeten die Basis für das seit 1702 in mehreren Auflagen erschienene Lebenswerk ‹Itinera per Helvetiae alpinas regiones›. Bereits 1704 nahm ihn die «Royal Socie- ty» in London als Mitglied auf, eine damals äusserst seltene Ehre für einen Aus- länder.     Arrêté quinquennal sur l'exercice de la chasse en Valais pour les années 2016 à 2020 du 22 juin 2016 Le Conseil d’Etat du canton du Valais vu la loi fédérale sur la chasse et la protection des mammifères et oiseaux sauvages du 20 juin 1986 (LChP); vu l'ordonnance sur la chasse et la protection des mammifères et oiseaux sauvages du 29 février 1988 (OChP); vu la loi cantonale sur la chasse et la protection des mammifères et oiseaux sauvages du 30 janvier 1991 (LcChP); vu le règlement d'exécution du 22 juin 2016 de la loi sur la chasse du 30 janvier 1991 (RexChP); sur la proposition du Département des transports, de l’équipement et de l’environnement, arrête: Art. 1 Champ d’application Le présent arrêté complète les dispositions légales régissant l’exercice de la chasse et en détermine les conditions pratiques. Art. 2 Avenant Le Conseil d'Etat modifie le présent arrêté par un avenant qui contient toute disposition qui s'avère urgente. Art. 3 Types de permis Il existe les types de permis suivants: A : la chasse à balle (chasse haute); B : la chasse à grenaille (chasse basse); A+B : la chasse à balle et à grenaille; C : la chasse au gibier d'eau; E : la chasse aux prédateurs; S : la chasse au sanglier; G : permis général (comprenant tous les types de permis précités à l’exception du permis S). Das gilt auch für den Bergführer!“ Traumwanderung auf Walserspuren um das Monte Rosa Massiv Vorwort „TMR – das Kürzel für „Tour Monte Rosa“. Bei unserem achttägigen Wanderabenteuer rund um den größten Bergstock der Alpen laufen wir auf etwa 160 Kilometer abwechslungsreichen Walser- und Bergpfaden. Von Randa führt uns der Europaweg nach Grächen (1619 Meter) und weiter nach Saas Fee (1772 Meter), über den Monte Moro Pass (2868 Meter), den Colle del Turlo (2738 Meter), den Colle di Bettaforca (2672 Meter) und den Theodulpass (3317 Meter), vorbei am Theodulgletscher nach Zermatt und schließlich nach Sunnega (2288 Meter). Am Ende jeder der acht Etappen sinkt der Wanderer müde, aber um wunderbare Erfahrungen und Eindrücke reicher, ins Bett. Wer die TMR zurückgelegt hat, verdient Anerkennung, denn er hat eine große Leistung vollbracht. Gratulation!“ So heißt es in der Beschreibung der Wanderung auf der Homepage der OASE und auch im Katalog. Das Tüpfelchen auf dem „i“ gab uns im letzten Jahr unser Bergführer, als er uns diese Tour für das kommende Jahr empfohlen hat. Mir ist die Gegend vom Zermatt Marathon 2008 gut bekannt, als ich vom Gornergrat einen herrlichen Ausblick auf das Monte Rosa Massiv und Matterhorn hatte. Ich hatte mir da schon vorgenommen, wieder ins Wallis zurückzukommen. „Unterwegs im Festsaal der Alpen“, so könnte man die Tour auch kurz und knapp beschreiben. 1.
