Entry Fees: Rs.1000.00 per dog, per class, for 02 All Breed Shows inclusive of Catalogue, Full remittance must be made, in the name Kennel Association of Goa, payable at Panaji, Goa for the All Breed Championship Dog Shows by DD/MO/Cash. No Cheques will be accepted. ELIGIBILITY: Only dogs registered with the Kennel Club of India are permitted to compete CRYPTORCHID, MONORCHID Dogs and Dogs under R.A.F will not be permitted to compete. 2. CAUTION: Exhibitors should make themselves familiar with the KCI Rules and Regulations for shows, copies of which may be obtained from The Secretary, KCI on payment of Rs.25/- Exhibitors are cautioned that an entry in the wrong class or breed will automatically disqualify the exhibit. The Show Committee reserves the right to nominate a new judge / judges in the event of the above mentioned judges not being able to fulfill their obligation. Exhibitors will have to follow the order of judging and make themselves present in the waiting ring at the time of judging. Exhibitors are requested to Bench their dogs close to the ring where the respective breeds would be judged. Numbers will not be called over the public address system and hence there would be no announcements, the club shall not be held responsible if exhibitors are not present in the ring when their class is being judged and their exhibits have been marked absent. Creation of any sort of commotion or unpleasantness at the ring side if a class is missed will automatically call for stringent action against the handler / owner. 3. ENFORCEMENT & AMENDMENT OF RULES: The decision of the Show Committee is final, subject only to appeal to KCI, should any objections arise which are not provided for in the final rules, the committee decision will be final. Any breach of the rules of KCI regulations will render the exhibitors liable to disciplinary action by the committee. Exhibitors are also liable for any damage done by them, their servants or their dogs. The committee reserves the right to refuse or accept any entry without assignment any reason whatsoever. 4. VET EXAMINATION: All Dogs must be passed by the Honorary Veterinary Surgeon, present at the gate and be certified fit by him before admission. The Veterinary Certificate should be produced on demand. 5. CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE: Challenge Certificate will be awarded at the Show (CC’s). All Indian Breeds are eligible for CC’s as per KCI rules. 6. PENALTY: a) Any Willful misrepresentation regarding ownership, age, name, pedigree, etc b) Any dog entered and prepared for exhibition, in contravention of K.C.I regulations, will be liable for disciplinary action by the committee. c) Double handling: As per the KCI directive double handling is strictly prohibited. Any exhibit double handled is liable to be disqualified from the Show. Note: Dogs that are not present in the ring when their classes are judged will be deemed to have been absent. The exhibitors are requested not to wear T-shirt containing their Kennel name / logo while exhibiting their dogs. 7. OBJECTIONS: Objections will be decided by the KCI committee in accordance with the KCI regulations. The objection fee is Rs.1000/-refundable if the objection is held valid by the show Committee, if turned down the fee will be forfeited. NOTE: Exhibitors are kindly requested to enter in both Shows. Exhibitors / Handlers are hereby warned that any one found drinking or drunk inside the Show Ground or while handling the exhibit in the Show ring will be reported to the KCI. Such persons are liable to be suspended for a minimum period of two years and shall also be fined Rs.1, 000/- or more as the Committee may decide. Schedule of Breed Classes CLASS AGE DOG BITCH Minor Puppy 4 to 6 months A G Puppy Over 7 to 12 months B H Junior Over 13 to 18 months C I Intermediate Over 19 to 36 months D J Bred in India Irrespective of age E K Open (Class) Irrespective of age F L Champion Only champions M M Schedule of Obedience Classes C1 – Pre-Beginners C2 – Beginners C3 – Novice C4 – Test A – Under Graduate C5 – Test B – Graduate C6 – Open C7 – Companion Dog DEFINITIONS OF CLASSES MINOR PUPPY CLASS is one in which dogs that are 4 months of age and not exceeding 6 months. PUPPY CLASS is one in which dogs that are 6 months and above and not exceeding 12 months. JUNIOR CLASS is one in which dogs that are 12 months and above and not exceeding 18 months. INTERMEDIATE CLASS is one in which dogs that are 18 months and above and not exceeding 36 months. BRED IN INDIA CLASS is a class in which only dogs bred in India shall be eligible. Dogs bred abroad and born in India are deemed to be imported dogs under the KCI regulation. OPEN CLASS is one in which dogs of that breed or variety of breed may compete. CHAMPION CLASS: All dogs that have attained their championship title on the day of sending in the entry forms, irrespective of whether they have applied for the Championship title or not, must be necessarily entered only in CLASS M (Champion Class irrespective of Sex). Entry of Champion in any other class will amount to misrepresentation and the dog will automatically be disqualified from the Show. Note:*A dog imported from abroad shall be entered in the class that it is eligible according to its age and also in the Open Class ** All Exhibits with unknown parentage will not be allowed to compete for Best in Show bred in India and Best Puppy in Show. ***The Kennel Association of Goa will not be responsible for entries lost in postal transit. Exhibitors are therefore requested to send in their entries before the closing date by Regd. Post or Courier. METHOD OF JUDGING AS APPROVED AT THE KCI AGM CLASS WINNERS & CC JUDGING F: OPEN DOG B: PUUPY WINNER CC DOG DOG WINNER RCC DOG E: BRED IN C: JUNIOR INDIA WINNER DOG WINNER D: INTERMEDIATE DOG WINNER L: OPEN BITCH B: PUPPY WINNER BITCH WINNER CC BITCH RCC BITCH E: BRED IN C: JUNIOR INDIA BITCH BITCH WINNER WINNER D: INTERMEDIATE BITCH WINNER PLEASE NOTE: The Dog being placed Reserve to the CC Dog / Bitch automatically qualifies to compete for a Reserve Challenge Certificate this could also entitle it to become the Runner up of a Breed / Group in the event of the Challenge Certificate Winner being awarded the Best of Breed. BOB AND RUNNER UP TO BOB JUDGING As per the new rule, a runner up to the BOB Should be chosen in place of the BOS.For this purpose, the champion class is judged first and the first and its reserve irrespective of sex are retained in the ring .Thereafter the CC dog and the CC Bitch are called in along with the first two dogs chosen in the Champion class for judging the BOB. Once the BOB has been selected, the dog that is placed second to the BOB winner will automatically come inside the ring for the selection of the runner up. The runner up could be from the same sex or even the same class as the BOB winner. CHAMPION CLASS WINNER (I & II) CC DOG CC BITCH BOB RUNNER UP TO BOB Once a BOB winner is chosen, the reserve to that dog in the class in which the BOB winner was entered should be compulsorily called to compete for Reserve BOB along with the remaining dogs. GROUP JUDGING For Group Judging, all the BOB winners should be called into the ring and the runner up to the respective BOB should be present in the waiting ring. Once the Group Winner is chosen, the reserve to the dog that has won the group should be compulsorily called into compete for the I runner up to the group winner, Then the second runner up is chosen from the rest of the dogs. The runner up could be from the same sex or even the same breed as the GROUP WINNER. As per the new KCI rules 3 dogs should be chosen in the Working, Gundog and Hound Group and 2 dogs should be chosen from the Toys, Terriers, Utility and Pastoral Groups.
