The Strongsville Soccer Club is a 2,400 member recreational and travel soccer club located in Strongsville, Ohio, a suburb of southwest Cleveland. The club maintains 19 fields including 3 lighted championship fields. Countless players have been selected to represent OYSA-North on ODP State Teams, including Region II ODP and USYSA national teams and pools. The High School Program has benefited from this success.

The boys and girls teams have been to the Ohio State Division 1 Final ten times in the last thirteen years, winning 5 State Titles. Nearly 90% of all players go on to play at the collegiate level. Players have attained All-Ohio, All-Midwest, and All-American honors. The programs have been consistently ranked in state and national polls including a brief #1 NSCAA ranking going into the state final in 2003.

Come join the fun!

The Showcase portion of the adidas National High School Soccer Showcase allows teams to play in either a five- game or seven-game format over two or three days. Junior/Senior Spotlight Games

One of the important features that makes the adidas National High School Soccer Showcase unique is the Junior/Senior Spotlight games(classes of 2014 and 2013). Over 100 college coaches regularly attend this portion of the Showcase and a thousand or more fans have jammed the Ehrnfelt Soccer Complex to cheer on their favorite players. Each participating team may send their top Juniors and Seniors to participate in these Spotlight games, scheduled to be played on Saturday evening. Over 900 top Juniors and Seniors competed in this event in 2011. New for 2012 will be an 11-v-11 format as well as the popular 7-v-7 and 8-v-8 formats. More info will follow along with registration in the near future.

New for 2012: adidas Cup Series

Many of you have told us you’d like to compete in a typical “tournament” style event and we have heard you. For 2012 we will introduce the adidas National Showcase Cup Series. Teams selecting this format will be placed in two groups of six and will play two games on Friday and three games on Saturday versus each team in your group. The winner and runner-up in each group will then play for the adidas National Showcase Gold Cup Series Championship in a semi-final and final match on Sunday. Teams placing 3rd and 4th will play for the Silver Cup and teams placing 5th and 6th will play for the Bronze Cup. Prizes will be awarded to the winning adidas National Showcase Cup Series Champion players and head coach.

U13-14 Travel Team and Middle School

One of the factors that makes for a quality community based program is the development of a seamless transition between the Travel and Middle School programs in to the high school. We are now offering the U13-14 Travel and 7th and 8th grade Middle School teams the opportunity to participate in the adidas National Soccer Showcase to get a taste for what it will be like when your younger players ultimately get to the high school. Teams will receive five games (2 Friday-3 Saturday or 3 Saturday-2 Sunday). Two referees per game. 35 minute games.

Freshmen Top Flight Game

A select number of the top incoming Freshmen are afforded the opportunity to compete in this one-of-a-kind game highlighting the best of the best in the class of 2016. Start your high school career off by playing in this unique event that will start you off on the right foot as you begin your high school career. The players will play in an 11-v-11 format with small roster sizes on Friday evening.

Sophomore Coaches Clinic

The adidas National High School Soccer Showcase has created a unique opportunity for the class of 2015 to showcase their talents by participating in the Sophomore Coaches Clinic. Nationally renowned college coaches are sought out to implement a team development model of training with a final “test” of what the players have learned in an 11-v-11 game played on Saturday evening. The number of players accepted in this clinic is limited. The Boys Clinic will feature Mel Mahler from St. Bonaventure University

adidas National Soccer Showcase General Procedure

Registration Tent • Registration staff will be located adjacent to the Field House at the Ehrnfelt Soccer Complex, Foltz Fields.

• If all of your forms have been turned in (payment, waivers), you do NOT need to register.

• All Waiver forms MUST be on file with us for teams to play. Field Marshals and Site Directors will not permit play without the WAIVER form on file with Registration.

• All fees must be paid in order for teams to play. Field Marshals and Site Directors will not permit play without payment.

Field Locations and Directions • We have four (4) sites utilized for the adidas National Soccer Showcase. • Ehrnfelt Soccer Complex, Foltz Fields (Strongsville) • Darice Fields (Strongsville) • Strongsville High School (Strongsville) • Buckeye High School (Medina).

• Field maps and directions between field locations are available on the website.

• Coaches are responsible for checking their team schedules and allowing for extra driving time for games at Buckeye Fields. Please be attentive to the prospect of significant driving time between games due to traffic and possible road construction.

• FOR OUT-OF-TOWN teams traveling by BUS: • There is a designated BUS PARKING area and a BUS PLAYER DROP- OFF area. See the Ehrnfelt Soccer Complex, Foltz Fields map for the designated areas. It is the coach's responsibility to pass on this information to the bus drivers.

Game Starts • Please make sure games start on time. All fields have games running continuously all day – there is only 10 minutes allowed between games.

• Games will be started and stopped at the same time with the sound of an air horn from the Main Tent.

• Even if a game starts a few minutes late, due to late arriving teams, the game must end when the horn sounds.

• The teams “on deck” can take the field as soon as the prior game concludes, but on- field warm-up time will be limited.

• If a referee has not reported five minutes prior to the scheduled game start time, notify the Field Marshall so the situation can be resolved.

Athletic Trainers • An Athletic Trainer (ATC) will be on duty for all games to coordinate medical assistance for injuries.

• EMS will not be on site.

• Strongsville EMS will respond immediately. Call 440-238-7333 if there is a serious injury requiring an EMS. Please do not call 911 for an EMS. We have set-up special arrangements with Strongsville Police and Fire crews to respond immediately when 440-238-7333 is called.

College Coaches • Please check in at the main Registration tent located adjacent to the Field House at the Ehrnfelt Soccer Complex, Foltz Fields.

GSV TRON ILLE S

The adidas National High School Soccer Showcase has grown from a small 24 team boy’s tournament to the single largest high school soccer showcase event in the country with over 350 boys and girls teams descending upon Strongsville M U S N G S over two weekends in July. We can't thank you enough for TA making this event your choice for your team's summer soccer stop and we very much appreciate your support. We are confident that your weekend will be enjoyable and that you use the time with your team to its fullest capacity. This event was designed solely to afford teams the opportunity to test themselves against other schools from around the Midwest region and the country and for you to get a chance to get a look at your teams and begin to develop some team chemistry before your season begins.

There are so many people to thank but we feel we must make an effort to thank a few who have made this event possible. Dave Clark from adidas USA has been most gracious in extending the adidas brand to the event and his support in partnering with us shows that adidas USA is firmly behind high school soccer in this country. To the Strongsville Soccer Club, Strongsville City Schools and the City of Strongsville for allowing to grow this event and bring thousands of people to our fine city and show them the great hospitality that we come to expect. To the many businesses who have partnered with us this year and in the past we truly appreciate your support. And finally to our parents past, present and future that have done so much to develop this event and make it one of the most unique and significant high school soccer showcases in the country.

Thank you to all and have a safe and fantastic soccer weekend!
