MINUTES OF THE AUGUST 12, 2014 REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION.

The Mentor Exempted Village Board of Education held its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at 7:00 p.m., at Mentor High School, Lecture Room A, 6477 Center Street, Mentor, . Members present: Mrs. Mary L. Bryner, Mrs. Virginia E. Jeschelnig, Mr. William J. Shaw, and Mr. Thomas V. Tuttle. Ms. Sally S. Miller was absent.

Mrs. Bryner led the assembled in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mr. Shaw moved, seconded by Mrs. Jeschelnig to approve the minutes of the May 13, 2014 regular meeting as corrected for typo page 184, sequence of resolution motion by Board members, July 8, 2014 regular meeting, and the July 28, 2014 special meeting.

Roll Call: Ayes: Mr. Shaw, Mrs. Jeschelnig, Mr. Tuttle, Mrs. Bryner. The motion carried. 2014-8-143

At this time, Mrs. Bryner stated that there would be a hearing of the public on agenda items only. There were none.

Mr. Tuttle moved, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the Board of Education approve the consent agenda as presented by the Superintendent.

WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code 3315.062 permits a Board of Education to expend funds for student programs; and, WHEREAS, the Auditor of State has adopted guidelines for developing policies for student activity programs; and, WHEREAS, the Mentor Exempted Village School District Board of Education has adopted Policy 6610 titled, “Student Activity Fund”; and, WHEREAS, complete detailed Student Activity Purpose, Goals and Budgets have been available in the Treasurer’s Office for inspection;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that in accordance with Ohio Revised Code, Auditor of State guidelines, and Board of Education policy, the 2014-2015 Student Activity Purpose, Goals and Budgets be approved as attached;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chief Financial Officer be directed to certify a copy of this resolution to the Lake County Budget Commission.
