A fresh face and an instantly recognisable lighting signature All Sanderos feature a bold grille treatment that features a honeycomb design and a chrome centre line. Together with a sharp, chiselled bumper Neat proportions and elegant detailing mean the the award-winning that houses prominent fog lights, the overall effect is to give the Sandero Sandero has never looked so appealing. a dynamic, contemporary appearance. It features a similar double optic front headlights as the Duster that are framed by standard LED Daytime Running Lights that are made up of an eye-catching pattern of four stacked rectangles.

Exterior With an individual style that blends robustness with a contemporary edge, Dacia’s high-selling supermini stands out in more ways than one. The front end has a well defined and co-ordinated feel, with its prominent badge, large headlights and honeycomb grille. The side view shows off the sculpted treatment of the bodywork that strengthens the appearance of the wheelarches, while the profile sweeps up from the bottom edge of the raked windscreen to create a sleek silhouette, reflecting Sandero’s aerodynamic qualities. The 15-inch wheels fitted to every version fill the arches to emphasise the car’s strong, planted look, with different designs dedicated to each of the three grades. Sandero’s price tag might be city-car small, but in terms of design and packaging, the car is every bit as spacious and accommodating as a regular five-door family hatch. Its vital statistics are a length of 4,058mm, width of 1,732mm, height of 1,518mm and a 2,589mm , ensuring an interior that’s spacious enough for five. There’s no stinting on load space, either. With the rear seat in place the boot offers 320 litres – one of the highest in the supermini class; with the rear seat folded that figure soars to 1,200 litres. Sandero’s body structure is also engineered to protect, with reinforced, programmed crumple zones, and attention to the thickness and stiffness of the bumper and bonnet to help protect pedestrians in an impact.

4 Interior Sandero’s interior styling is all about ease of use, comfort and attention to detail. Contrary to what some might expect, given the “shockingly affordable” prices, the finish is high, with quality materials and chunky shapes. On all versions of the Sandero the interior has an elegant and modern feel. There’s contemporary satin-effect chrome finish for the air vent surrounds, trim strips and centre console fascia, while the four-spoke steering wheel is good to hold and, as an option on the Comfort, has a luxurious Soft Feel rim. The steering wheel also houses the cruise control and speed limiter buttons on Comfort versions. Additionally, the carefully considered upholstery fabrics, textures and patterns convey a fresh feel and an impression of comfort and quality. For convenience the front electric window switches are located on a panel by the door handles, while there’s a 12-volt power socket in the rear, which allows passengers to charge mobile devices. Elsewhere there are numerous stowage spaces, including a front mobile phone cubby hole and a tray on the side of the console to accommodate small items. The centre console design also incorporates a bottle holder at the rear.

6 7 Dacia Sandero Technologies

‘Big car’ technologies add even more value

Sandero’s unrivalled value is even more amazing when its ‘big car’ technologies are added into the equation.

To make the distinctive supermini even more enjoyable to own, Dacia has equipped the Sandero with features that are more common in cars costing considerably more.

In addition to a raft of advanced active and passive safety features and the availability of its cutting-edge TCe 90 turbocharged three-cylinder that combines nippy performance with optimum efficiency, Sandero notably benefits from the availability of the MediaNav Evolution 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system.

Available on the Comfort version, which also boasts such big car technologies as cruise control, speed limiter and a seven-function on- board computer, MediaNav includes satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and Apple Car Play™ and Android Auto™ compatibility as standard, while rear parking sensors provide added peace of mind when manoeuvring around town.
