Oleh itu, kerajaan akan memperkasa Agenda Nasional Malaysia Sihat (ANMS) dalam mendidik Keluarga Malaysia untuk hidup bersama virus ini. Malaysian Prime Minister Hosted by HSBC at Second Belt and Road Forum
News Release 30 April 2019 Malaysian Prime Minister hosted by HSBC at second Belt and Road Forum Peter Wong, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive, the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, together with Stuart Milne, Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Malaysia, hosted a meeting for a Malaysian government delegation led by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Prime Minister of Malaysia, with HSBC’s Chinese corporate clients. The meeting took place in Beijing on the sidelines of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, in which Mr. Wong represented HSBC. Dr. Mahathir together with the Malaysian Ministers met with Mr. Wong and executives from approximately 20 Chinese companies to discuss opportunities in Malaysia in relation to the Belt and Road Initiative. The official visit was part of YAB Prime Minister’s high-level introductory visits to ASEAN countries after being sworn in as the 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia. YAB Tun Dr Mahathir was accompanied by his wife YABhg Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali; Foreign Minister YB Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah; Minister of Economic Affairs YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and senior offi- cials from the Prime Minister’s Office as well as Wisma Putra. YAB Prime Minister’s official programme at the Istana include the Welcome Ceremony (inspection of the Guards of Honour), courtesy call on President Halimah Yacob, four-eyed meeting with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong which was followed by a Delegation Meeting, Orchid-Naming ceremony i.e. an orchid was named Dendrobium Mahathir Siti Hasmah in honour of YAB Prime Minister and YABhg. Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, of which the pro- grammes ended with an official lunch hosted by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Mrs Lee. MALAYSIA AND SINGAPORE - CPA UK DIPLOMATIC VISIT REPORT SUMMARY 17 - 20 FEBRUARY 2020 PROGRAMME OVERVIEW From 17-20 February 2020, a four-member Commonwealth Parliamentary Association UK (CPA UK) cross-party delegation visited Malaysia and Singapore for a diplomatic visit. Against the backdrop of the Covid-19 outbreak, this visit proved to be unique in so many ways. The visit focused on four key themes; trade, economic links, human rights and civil liberties and defence and security. Although Malaysia and Singapore have a shared history, in the context of the above themes, there are clear differences between the two countries and their respective approaches to them. Both countries still have close links to the UK and the Commonwealth and this was evident during our time in country, with clear similarities including both respective Parliaments following the Westminster committee system. This report outlines some of the key learnings from the visit. IMPACT & OUTCOMES Impact A stronger relationship between the UK, Malaysian and Singaporean Parliaments by building knowledge and understanding among parliamentarians of the issues facing the UK, Malaysia and Singapore. Outcomes a) UK parliamentarians have a deeper understanding of Malaysia’s and Singapore’s political systems and parliaments. The CPA UK delegation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia b) UK, Malaysian and Singaporean parliamentarians PROGRAMME PARTNERS & SUPPORTERS have shared challenges and solutions in parliamentary management practice and procedure, security and reform. c) UK parliamentarians have a deeper understanding of the political landscape and current salient issues in Malaysia and Singapore. Sabu, unlike many other military personnel, is a charismatic and holistic leader who constantly speaks out racial and religious tensions in Malaysia. Despite not being a typical military officer, Sabu has a grand vision for the Malaysian military. With the deteriorating state of most equipments and the rapidly advancing military technology, Sabu intents to implement a whole scale change in the military by brining in drone aircrafts and introducing the use of Artificial Intelligence into the military. However, understanding that the government is currently on a tight budget, Subu recognizes that his vision might take a certain level of patience before becoming a reality. Mohamed Azmin Ali (Minister of Economic Affairs) While it is true that the Malaysian people has just elected a new Prime Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali has been tipped to become the long-term solution to Malaysian leadership. A relatively reserved and quiet politician, Azmin has been involved in Malaysian politics for 30 years. Like many other progressive politicians in the current administration, Azmin shares the same worry about religion and racial devision. However, as the head of the Minister of Economic Affairs (a newly created ministry in the current administration), Azmin is more troubled by the economic aftermaths of failed programs such as the BR1M. -

PRATHAP MEMORIAL LECTURE: EVOLUTION AND ADVANCEMENT OF BREAST CANCER MANAGEMENT: THE PATHOLOGIST’S CONTRIBUTION Jane Dahlstrom College of Health and Medicine at the Australian National University (ANU). Anatomical Pathology at ACT Pathology, The Canberra Hospital Breast cancer management is an inevitable intertwining between multiple disciplines. Pathologists remain largely responsible for making the diagnosis that determines a patient’s management and prognosis. Simple morphology based classifications and tumour grading are now being complemented by exploration of disrupted cell pathways with the use of immunohistochemistry and molecular techniques that enable us to better predict cancer progression and response to treatment. This talk will explore how our understanding of breast cancer has evolved and how this has been central to the evolution and advances in breast cancer management. Risk management is defined as ‘the systematic application of management policies, procedures and practices to the tasks of analysing, evaluating, controlling and monitoring risk’ (ref: ISO). Healthcare organisations have a responsibility to ensure the health and safety of their staff and their patients. Risk assessment is an integral part of an organisation’s occupational health and safety management plan and enables organisations to make an informed decision on the necessary measures needed to eliminate or minimise the risk of harm to those who may be affected.
