Michelin Delivers Excitement at Rolex 24 at Daytona MEDIA INFORMATION Daytona Beach, January 31, 2016 Michelin delivers excitement at Rolex 24 At Daytona The first race of the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech Championship delivered the GTLM class competition that fans anticipated and more as Michelin technical partners from Corvette, Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, and Ford battled throughout the Rolex 24 At Daytona. The 24 hour race was decided by a mere 34 thousandths of a second as the two factory Corvette Racing C7.Rs went flat out, totally free of team orders for the final 30 minutes. The 2015 Le Mans 24 GT class winners Oliver Gavin, Tommy Milner, teaming here with Marcel Fassler, held off a stirring challenge by the defending Rolex 24 Hours At Daytona GTLM champions, Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen, here with Mike Rockenfeller, to claim a dramatic victory. “Our goal at Michelin is to enable all of our technical partners to perform at their very best and we are pleased that our teams ran at exceptionally high levels in all conditions throughout the weekend” said Chris Baker, director of Motorsport Michelin North America. “The fact that Michelin-equipped GTLM took the first 7 places overall during the wet qualifying session was gratifying and the consistency of our products in dry conditions - at the blistering pace set by the two Corvettes and the #912 Porsche during the last two hours of the race - was very satisfying as well,” said Chris Baker. Having taken the lead from Porsche North America’s Earl Bamber with 35 minutes remaining, Oliver Gavin tried to establish a lead that could withstand a charge by Antonio Garcia who had more fuel and fresher Michelin tires. Antonio Garcia was not to be denied, reeling off a string of fast laps that erased the deficit and momentarily passed Oliver Gavin with three laps remaining only to be repassed at the exit of the turn. BMW, Ferrari and Ford rolled out their latest racers with the Ferrari 488 GTE from Scuderia Corsa finishing fourth and the BMW M6 GTLM which finished fifth at the 3.56 mile Daytona International Speedway circuit The new Ford GTs encountered some new car trials. The race debut for the GTs showed them to have considerable pace with a best lap that topped the speed charts until the final hour. “It was absolutely tooth and nail the entire race,” said Oliver Gavin. “Porsche, BMW, Ferrari and Ford were all fast and we were just pushing and pushing the entire race.” About Michelin North America: Dedicated to the improvement of sustainable mobility, Michelin designs, manufactures and sells tires for every type of vehicle, including airplanes, automobiles, bicycles, earthmovers, farm equipment, heavy-duty trucks and motorcycles. The company also publishes travel guides, hotel and restaurant guides, maps and road atlases. • CORVETTE RACING at LE MANS: Date with Destiny Dawns Ninth Le Mans Class Win Would Add Another Highlight in 20Th Season
June 8, 2018 CORVETTE RACING AT LE MANS: Date with Destiny Dawns Ninth Le Mans class win would add another highlight in 20th season DETROIT – With a successful Test Day in the rear-view mirror, it’s time for Corvette Racing to turn its focus toward the focal part of its season – the 86th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It’s the 19th consecutive appearance for the team at the French endurance classic… and undoubtedly its biggest challenge. The two Chevrolet Corvette C7.Rs, fresh off eight hours of testing Sunday, are part of a 17-car field in the GTE Pro category. A victory would be the ninth for the program at Le Mans and quite possibly the most impressive. Corvette Racing was 10th and 11th in class on the Test Day with Oliver Gavin quickest in the No. 64 Mobil 1/SiriusXM Chevrolet Corvette C7.R. He wasn’t too far ahead of Antonio Garcia in the No. 63 Mobil 1/SiriusXM Corvette; the two cars were separated by just 0.038 seconds around the 8.47-mile circuit. Incredible competition is nothing new to Corvette Racing, which has swept the last two IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship titles in the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class for manufacturers, drivers and teams. Those championships have come against many of the same marques and entries that the team will face at Le Mans. Already this year, Corvette Racing has tasted success with a class victory on the streets of Long Beach for Gavin and Tommy Milner. They will team with Marcel Fässler in the No.

Once again, the response from the racing community allows us to showcase some awesome racing with some of the biggest names from the IndyCar, Prototype and GT series, all to help the kids at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. A massive thank you to everyone at Andersen Racepark and Green Savoree Racing Promotions, without their support, none of this would be possible! Now, enough words. Let’s have some fun and raise some money. Thank You, Patrick Long I first met Patrick at our 48 Hours event in Sebring. He was a red headed young kid that everyone said to watch as he was destined to be a great Porsche driver. He soon became the only American Porsche Works driver ever. As time went on he and I ran into each other at Daytona, 48 Hours and Sebring and got to know each other. When the idea was hatched for Kart 4 Kids, I called him and asked for his help. The event was to be in the memory of Dan Wheldon and Patrick’s reply was an immediate yes, he explained that the last time he raced against Dan was in karts.
