• Despite best efforts, Jackson’s hartebeest program has been determined to be unsustainable without import of additional • Recommended by TAG in RCP to be a managed program since the first edition • Challenged by small population size even when first recommended as a program in the 1990’s • Species needs a lot of space making some interested facilities ineligible for program participation
