We have seen a further increase in the number of people sleeping rough this year and a steep increase in the number of people struggling with other types of homelessness. The proportion of our clients with complex health and social care needs has increased again and we are concerned by the rising number of street homeless women and young people in our services. In a context of continued funding cuts across the homelessness sector, we are pleased that our income has remained consistent this year. This allows us to continue to deliver our strategic aims of helping the most vulnerable people in our community effectively – people who have often failed to engage with alternative support and who struggle to access mainstream services.
