This international sports event in Geneva regroups some of the best athletes in the world alongside running enthusiasts and is the perfect event to represent the values of the Harmony Group: well-being, accessibility of sport to all, pushing one’s limits and sharing. This partnership is born out of shared values and the aim to promote sport for all and support the charity and ecological actions linked to the event. The growing success of the event and active engagement of Harmony alongside the event with warm up sessions and activities in the race village are great for consolidating this partnership. Harmony is delighted to be involved once again in accompanying runners of all levels to reach their objectives. Luciano Luppi General Director Harmony A word from Unicef Dear runners, Welcome to the Harmony Geneva Marathon for Unicef 2018! I am delighted that Unicef is involved once again in this magnificent event as the official charity partner. The Harmony Geneva Marathon for Unicef perfectly allies sporting performances with a commitment to helping vulnerable children. Worldwide, 844 million people don’t have access to clean drinking water and 1000 children aged 5 or under die every day from waterborne diseases and a lack of sanitary support. By registering for the Harmony Geneva Marathon for Unicef, all participants have the opportunity to make a donation to Unicef to help make the world a better place for underprivileged children. All the donations received from the Harmony Geneva Marathon for Uncief are dedicated to building hydraulic water pumps to provide clean drinking water for children and their families. Thanks to these water pumps entire villages, schools and medical centres in developing countries and crisis zones can get access to clean drinking water. Since the beginning of the collaboration in 2010 a total of 690 pumps have been constructed thanks to participants’ donations. On behalf of Unicef Switzerland, I want to thank you for your support and wish you a great race!
