Er komen zeer binnenkort pleinmanagers op de Nieuwmarkt.     Tussenrapportage Binnenstad Offensief Rapportage over de periode december 2016 t/m februari 2017 Politie Eenheid Amsterdam Openbaar Ministerie Gemeente Amsterdam Gemeente Amsterdam Directie Openbare Orde en Veiligheid Tussenrapportage Binnenstad offensief Managementsamenvatting Doelstelling 1 – een substantiële vermindering van criminaliteit en overlast a) Een vermindering van incidenten zakkenrollerij, straatroof en (nep)dope. De criminaliteit in de inzetgebieden van het Binnenstad Offensief is dalende. Sinds de start van het Binnenstad Offensief daalt het aantal straatroven sterk (van 90 naar 67). Ook de aantallen zakkenrollerij dalen enigszins. Op (nep)dope wordt veel ingezet waardoor de cijfers stijgen. Het aantal verwijderingsbevelen (maand en 3-maandsbevelen) voor dealers is sinds de start van het Offensief meer dan verdubbeld. Feitelijk betekent een toename van incidenten nepdope dat er meer dealers worden opgepakt. Dat in de eerste fase van het Offensief het aantal door de politie geregistreerde incidenten (nep)dope zouden stijgen, was voorzien. Op termijn moet de inzet er toe leiden dat er minder incidenten zijn. Aangezien straatroof, zakkenrollerij en (nep)dope vooral delicten zijn die toeristen treffen, zullen bewoners en ondernemers hier vermoedelijk minder van merken. Tegelijkertijd ervaren zij wel veel overlast van de dealers en wordt de inzet op deze doelgroep zeer gewaardeerd. b) Een vermindering van meldingen overlast door personen, meldingen afval en een vermindering van het aantal boetes betreffende verkeersoverlast. Er is nog geen sprake van een vermindering van meldingen overlast door personen. Het aantal afvalmeldingen is fors gestegen. Het aantal boetes van gemeentelijke handhavers over verkeer nemen af in vergelijking met vorig jaar. In het kader van het Binnenstad Offensief schrijft ook de politie veel boetes op verkeersfeiten, maar onduidelijk is hoe die cijfers zich verhouden tot voor de start.
