Governance and Administration

Texas Southern University is a state institution that is governed by its eight (8) member Board of Regents. Regents are appointed by the Governor of the State of Texas to six a (6) year term.

Student Success and Completion– from Freshman Orientation through Graduation Academic Program Quality and Research – TSU offers a wide range of top quality academic programs, Culture – built on trust, transparency, fairness and communications, Partnerships – with local ISDs, Community Colleges, Alumni and other attendant organizations, and Finances – a dedicated funding stream from the state and federally supported funding mechanisms, along with adequate financial aid to support the students we serve.
