Type of Tender :-Tender are invited in Two part system, namely Part-I and Part-II tender. While Part-I tender is meant for Pre-Qualification, Part-II tender will contain price bid only. Part-II tender of only tenderers will be qualified on the basis of credentials submitted in Part-I tender. 02. Period of Contract: -Engagement of standard Vehicles on hire basis by inviting discount bids on SOR from the bidders and concluding contract for 2(Two) years with provision for one year extension at each time up to 2 years on rates, terms, and conditions as per SOR. 03. S.O.R for full deployment of the above two vehicles. Earnest Money :- The earnest money as mentioned above may be deposited in the form of Demand Draft in favour of “EASTERN COALFIELDS LTD,A/C AREA-III“ payable at Asansol, State Bank of India, Asansol Branch. Earnest money is to be deposited in a separate Envelope with Part-I tender. A tender without Earnest money shall be summarily rejected. 04. Period of Sale of Tender Documents :- 23.03.2015 to 24.03.2015 from 10 AM to 12 Noon. 05. Date & Time of submission of tender :- 26.03.2015 up to 3.00 PM. 06. Date of Time for opening of Part-I tender :- 26.03.2015 at 3.30 PM. 07. Credential:- The tenderers having their own vehicles with valid Registration Book for use at Nimcha Colliery under Satgram Area. The vehicle should have commercial pass as per MV Rules. The Model of the Vehicle should not have “Registration earlier than 01(One) years prior to the date of issue of NIT. 7.1 . R.C Book of the concerned vehicle should be produced at the time of issuing the tender documents from Administration Department, Satgram Area. 7.2. Tenderers will have to produce the concerned vehicle at Area Office premises before Tech. Committee Members on the date of opening of Part-I for physical verification from 4.00 PM to 5.00PM. 7.3. Vehicle Registration Book, Road Tax, Insurance Papers will be produced before Tech. Committee. 7.4 . Fitness and Pollution Certificate will be produced before the Tech. Committee. The engagement shall be normally for 07(Seven) days 24 hours in a week. Tenderers should submit the tender in two Parts i.e. Part-I will be commercial terms & condition as mentioned in the tender, any other condition will not be taken into consideration and tender may be liable to rejection. Part-II shall contain the rates only (Discount Bid).Information in Part-I should include the following and all Xerox copies should be signed by the tenderer. (a) Registration number of the vehicle. (b ) Make or Model to be mentioned. (c ) Validity of Road Tax.(Photo copy of Tax Receipt). (d) Validity of Insurance (Photo copy). (e ) Xerox copy of Blue Book(Vehicle Registration Book). (f) Copy of Partnership Deed in case of partnership firm. (g) Copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association in case of LTD Co. (h) Valid Certificate of Pollution from Pollution Control Authority. (i) Xerox copy of Tax PAN CARD. (J) Copy of valid fitness certificate. (k ) Copy of certificate of Registration under MV Authorities to use the vehicle for commercial purpose. Bids of successful tenderers in Part-I only will be considered for opening of Part-II tender. Information in Part-II should include only information regarding charges for hire per day. Any other condition in the Part-II of the Tender will not be taken into consideration and Tender may be liable for rejection. ISSUE OF TENDER DOCUMENTS The date of sale of Tender documents will be from 23.03.2015 to 24.03.2015 between 10 AM to 12 Noon from Chief Cashier Satgram Area after deposition of Rs.114.50/- including VAT for each vehicle on working days except Saturday, Sunday and Holiday. Cost of Tender documents shall be paid in Cash which is non- refundable. Cost of Tender documents shall have to be deposited by the tenderer in the form of Demand Draft at the time of submission of Tender along with EMD. No Tender documents will be issued or received by post. Tender will be received in Two parts i.e Part-I & Part-II each in separate sealed covers besides the third covering containing Earnest money subscribing the name of the work and the Part of the paper it contains. Page-3 GENERAL TERMS 1. The Vehicle should be in good operational condition. 2. The Vehicle must be available on all working days for 24 days. 3. It will be the responsibility on the part of the contracto rs employee to ensure safety to the Travelers / passengers. 4. In the event of Breakdown during journey period contractor will be responsible to provide the alternate vehicle. 5. Unauthorized person will not be allowed to travel in the vehicle. 6. Final work order will be awarded to the contractor subject to verification of physical condition of the vehicle and approval of the committee 7. Preference will be given to those who are having a fleet of vehicles of their own and have the experience of such type of job. 8. If under any circumstances vehicle does not report for duty any other penalty at the rate of two times of Hiring Charges will be deducted from the bill and no hire charges will be paid for that day. 9. It is presumed that the Tenderers have made themselves aware of all Rules & Regulations of all statutory bodies and local governing bodies like to be compiled with the Feigning & Ignorance on this account shall not be taken as excuse. 10 . Canvassing in connection with tenders in any shape or form is strictly prohibited and tenders submitted by such tenderers who resort to canvassing shall be liable to rejection. 11 . If Tenderers deliberately give wrong information in their tenders and create circumstances for acceptance of tender, the company reserves the right to reject such tender. 12 . In case more than one tenderer offer same rate for a particular vehicle, the latest Model will be considered. 13 . POL will be issued by the company for the vehicle during engagement as per norms of SOR as under- (a) Light Vehicle (BOLERO)-Non A/C - Diesel 12 K.M /Litre and Mobile 500 K.M/ Litre. Cancellation of LOI/Work Order The contractor/Owner shall have to start the work from the date as mentioned above on receiving the letter of intent/work order as applicable also maintained desired progress failing which the LOI/work order will be cancelled.     Introduction Mental health is an under-recognized area in occupational health in India, although principles of occupational health and safety includes enhancement of mental well-being of workers. Tobacco and alcohol have higher prevalence rates among different occupational groups as compared to general population in India. Both lead to significant occupational harm in terms of absenteeism, injuries, sickness and lost productivity. Population Coal industry in India is one of the largest with a turnover of INR 80,000 crore (US$ 13 billion) and worker strength of approximately 3,60,000. However, regular consumption of tobacco and alcohol among workers in mining higher among occupational groups (almost 40%) increasing to almost 70% among workers with occupational injuries. In absolute terms, at least 1,10,000 workers in Indian coal mines are prone to adverse consequences of harmful substance use. Study Site & Participants Coal mine workers engaged in mining activities (skilled/semi-skilled/unskilled) ≥ 18 years of age of either sex are recruited from the Raniganj – Asansol coal mining areas of Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (ECL). During the initial phase of the study workers from Nimcha coal mine area, Satgram area and Ningha coal mine area are screened. All study procedures are community or primary care based. SINGH CENTRAL MINING RESEARCH INSTITUTE BARWA ROAD, DHANBAD. 826001 ABSTRACT Underground Mines are the natural non renewable resource base, which sustain the prosperity of region and optimize local resource balance. The conservation and safety of underground mines from minewater inrush point of view, requires concentrated and coordinated efforts toward comprehensive knowledge of mining hydrology. The conceptual mine hydrological modeling is a successful venture and needs to be developed further for minewater flow characterization and minewater prediction rate on regional basis. The introduction of suitable legislation for coal barrier thickness is mandatory for successful underground coal mining operation in river valley. An attempt has been made to determine the critical coal barrier thickness at shallow depth, along partially approachable and largely unapproachable area using geophysical approach under the overall frame of mining hydrologicaly investigation. The study area belongs to the part of Raniganj coalfield, where the coal mining had been introduced in India since 1 ]th century. The study has delineated the critical coal barrier thickness with accuracy +I- 1m in conjunction with horizontal bore hole drilling with regulatory valve system at approachable area, as well as extended to 2unapproachable area. The study leads for provision of optimum minewater column to control over mine fire encroachment at one end, besides to prevent mine water inrush through old water logged portion at under side.
