It does not purport to be a representative collection. It is housed in four document boxes and spans the years 1974-2004. Various California based Chicano artists and visual arts centers are represented here. Included are articles that were published in Latino community newspapers, as well as those appearing in major regional newspapers, art magazines, journals, and various anthologies and exhibition catalogues. There are interviews with artists such as Guillermo Gomez Peña, Ester Hernández and Yolanda López as well as coverage of art groups such as the .
