2 Resolution commending the sponsors and honorees of the 11th 3 Annual San Francisco Bay Area Mural Awareness Month. 4
5 WHEREAS, The City of San Francisco has a great tradition of
6 supporting muralists who beautify the city with art that
7 represents local culture and history; and,
8 WHEREAS, Local muralists tell the many stories of San
9 Franciscans from a variety of cultural and individual
10 perspectives for all to enjoYi and,
11 WHEREAS, The Precita Eyes Mural Arts and Visitors Center lS
12 holding the eleventh annual San Francisco Bay Area Mural
13 Awareness Month; and,
14 WHEREAS, This year's award recipients include Keith
15 Hollander, Paul Lanier, Eric Norberg, Meera Desai, Ellen
16 Blakely, Betsy Miller-Kusz, the SFO International Terminal Ivlural
17 Project, Judy Baca, Mujeres Muralistas, J. Garcia, Josh Bea,
18 i Jason Gilmore, Torani Employees, Susan Cervantes, Precita Eyes
19 Kids Art, Youth Mural, Urban Youth Arts Programs, Gordon Lau 20 Mural Project, Anna Duarte, Corinna Press, Flame Acutt, and 21 Precita Eyes Urban Youth Arts Program; and, 22 WHEREAS, The honorees have created an artistic vision of 23 II San Francisco and the Bay Area representing life, nature and
24 Ii culture, while adding to the beauty of our urban landscapes; 25 and, II II II Mark Leno :1 I! BOARD OF SUPERVISORS WHEREAS, The City of San Francisco is greatly indebted to
the artists and sponsors of the San Francisco Bay area Mural
Awareness Month for their many contributions to the beauty of
the region; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Board of Supervisors of the City and
County of San Francisco commends the sponsors and honorees of
the 11th Annual San Francisco Bay Area Mural Awareness Month.
