It went under the hammer at an auction in Dusseldorf in 1970 and was spotted by an eagle eyed MI6 agent who paid the equivalent of £5K for all three cases. It would not be too fanciful to speculate that Otto, wearied by the daily scourging’sinthe monastery was planning to escape with this cache of brandy as anice little nest egg for his future. Sadly, fame and fortune of the right sort came too late for Otto.

For those of you, like me, who have alot of thoughts whizzing around all the time Ihave afool proof system, one that Ihave used for many years and one that still works today. It’sagood old-fashioned list. Ilove along list, ashort list, in fact, any list is fine, as long as my thoughts aretransferred to paper. Some arejust random thoughts and some moreimportant. However, whatever the thought, it goes onto my phone. We live in such overwhelming times and now, morethan ever, weare probably spending much moretime in our ‘heads’ trying to ‘Keep Calm and Carry on.’ We have around 60,000 thoughts aday, soitpretty much makes sense to get some of those thoughts out of our head. Once our heads areclearer, weshould, in theory, have room for living in the moment and taking stock of the beauty that surrounds us.

With love
