GWYNEDD MERCY ACADEMY HIGH SCHOOL
2014 ALUMNAE
WERE ASKED TO DESCRIBE
THE VALUE OF A GWYNEDD EDUCATION.
HERE IS WHAT THE WOMEN SHARED:
“Gwynedd focuses on educating and molding the whole person. Gwynedd not only completely prepared me for a rigorous college program, but it also gave me room to grow into a mature, empowered woman. I started at Gwynedd as a shy, quiet girl who was an average student and not quite sure where she belonged. I started college (13 hours away from home) as a confident, outspoken, and funny woman who instantly became friends with everyone. Gwynedd helped me realize my full potential by empowering me to be who I am and nurtured my passion for service.”
“To all parents I would say: Just send your daughters to Gwynedd. It’s as simple as that. If you are a parent who wants your daughter to grow academically, spiritually, and socially, Gwynedd is the place to be. Today, as a young professional working at one of the biggest accounting firms in the world, I look back on all of my schooling and know that the foundation of my success all started with attending Gwynedd. The teachers, coaches, and school community as a whole prepared me and gave me the tools to be able to get to where I am today. So to all the parents considering Gwynedd—don’t consider. Just do it. Your daughter will thank you for it.”
“Gwynedd’s sisterhood gave me the confidence and resilience I needed to pursue my academic and career goals.”
“The education at Gwynedd is valuable beyond measure. What I learned during my four years were things that I carried with me throughout college and now continue with me in graduate school. Gwynedd was a pivotal step in setting me up to further my education at a top school. Furthermore, the mercy spirit lays the foundation for alumnae to be women of faith and service beyond their years in the red and gold corridors.”
SHE IS THE FUTURE.
“Gwynedd…Educating women beyond just the classroom.”
“Gwynedd provides a solid foundation for learning and equips its students with the tools necessary for self-discovery. As its girls develop, Gwynedd encourages them to find their passions, value their education, and impact the world. ”
“My four years at Gwynedd helped me develop confidence and empowerment, and readied me for the demands and workload of college. I was well-equipped with everything I needed to pursue my career and succeed in a maledominated industry.”
“The value of a Gwynedd education not only comes from the dedicated faculty and a rigorous curriculum, but also the overall supportive, all-girls environment that cultivates confidence.”
The Gwynedd sisterhood,
built upon the legacy of Catherine McAuley and the values of Mercy, is like no other. Educated, inspired, empowered women gain access to an incredible Gwynedd community as well as a global network of Mercy alumnae who remain active and engaged in the lives of current students and fellow alumnae.
