The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Scientific Magazine Issued twice a year (in March and September) by the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Fayoum University, the magazine publishes academic, theoretical and empirical researches in tourism, hospitality industry and tourism guidance fields and related fields in English and in Arabic languages. Terms and Conditions of Publication: 1- The researches presented for publishing in the magazine should not have been published in other periodicals. 2- Copyrights are reserved for the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels-Fayoum University. 3- The published researches reflect their authors' opinions and without the responsibility of the magazine for their contents. 4- The magazine issue can be printed in color, providing the researcher pays the printing costs. Researches Review and Evaluation: All presented researches are evaluated by two members of editorial board. They could be Egyptians or non-Egyptians and the researcher's name is not revealed. Their publishing recommendations may involve one of the following: - Publishing research without any further editing. - Publishing research after editing. - Refusing research. - Note: if one member of the research revisers refuses the research publishing, the research is sent to a third reviser. Research Plan: - Researches should have an abstract (not more than 500 words), keywords, introduction, research methodology, findings and references. - Researches should be written in font (12), in "simplified Arabic" for Arabic Researches and in "Times New Romans" for non-Arabic researches. Titles should be written in bold. - Pages numbers should not exceed 20 pages, with surcharge 10 L.E for each page more. References writing: - All references must appear in the end of each paragraph with the author's last name and year in bold, as in the following ex. (James, 2000), and all references should be written in alphabetical order at the end of the research with author's last name, first name (year): Essay title", publishing house, city, volume, as in the following ex. Zeithaml, V., Parasuraman, A., and Berry, L. (1990):Delivering Quality Service", The Free Press, New York. Tables and Figures: - Table title should be written at the top of the table as follows: Table1: tourist numbers in in 1990 and the table source is written under the table. - Figure title should be written in the same way as table title writing, but placed under the figure and the first raw of the table should be written in bold.

Web sites: - Web sites are written in full and end with the date of last access in two parentheses as follows: www.gis.com/ (last accessed 10/04/2005) Page Foot notes: - All footnotes should be written in the same font of the research language but in font (10). - The researcher presents 3 copies on one paper face of A4 size with the following margins (4 Cm. from top and bottom and 3.5 Cm from left side and 3 Cm from the right one). A recorded CD should be included. - The magazine publishes all accepted abstracts of university degrees (MA, PhD) in tourism and hospitality sciences with the same previous rules of research writing. The magazine also accepts to publish recent reports on tourism and hospitality conferences and seminars.
