THE LAST DAYS OF THE REPUBLIC It is a dark time for the GALACTIC REPUBLIC. Fifteen years ago the JEDI CIVIL WAR began with the redemption of the Dark Lord, DARTH REVAN. With his help, the jedi were able to gain the upper hand in the war, culminating in the destruction of Revan's STAR FORGE and the death of his apprentice, DARTH MALAK. For a brief time there was peace, but when Master Revan left for the Unknown Regions to investigate an immanent threat, a terrible trio of Sith Lords used his absence to descend upon the galaxy. The new Dark Lord, DARTH NIHILUS, and his apprentice, DARTH SION, began the FIRST JEDI PURGE, an extermination of all Force Users both light and dark. Together, they slaughtered most of the remaining jedi masters at the MASSACRE OF KATARR. Sith assassins killed thousands of jedi knights and forced the survivors into hiding, afraid to reveal themselves and be executed. Forced to seek new allies, the LAST JEDI, an exile, teamed with MANDALORE and destroyed Darth Nihilus's ship, the RAVAGER, with him aboard. The event brought the remaining jedi masters to Dantooine, where the true Dark Lord, DARTH TRAYA, revealed herself and slew them all. Tracking her to the dying planet of Malachor V, the Exile defeated Traya and Sion, breaking the hold of the Sith on the galaxy. A decade after the death of Darth Traya, Master BASTILA SHAN was sent to Malachor V to destroy any remnants of the Sith Academy. Once an apprentice to Darth Malak, she was unable to resist the temptation of the Dark Side and fell a second time. Now known as DARTH GAEA, she claimed the title of DARK LORD OF THE SITH and began calling dark jedi to her cause. Aboard the EBON HAWK, Admiral CARTH ONASI took the rest of his former allies, MISSION VAO, ZALBAAR, and T3-M4, to the Unknown Regions to find Master Revan in hopes that he could again return Bastila to the light. Although the Purge left the Core Worlds without many trained force users, the LOST JEDI have trained any force sensitives they could find in the ways of the Force. At war with a New Sith Order, a growing Mandalorian threat, and the omnipresent crime lords of the Exchange, the Republic can only hope it still stands when its heroes return….
