He married MARTHA BARBARA BORNS in Wood County, Ohio on 6 March 1859 (Marriage Certificate, in hands of writer) who was born in Starke County, Ohio on 18 September 1836 (Bio of Wood Co OH, 1188) or December 1836 (US Federal 1900 Census, Freeport, Wood Co., OH) and died at the home of her son J . Louis Spink south of Prairie Depot [The Freepo rt settlement initially had its post off ice at Hedges Corner. When its own post off ice was established in May 1852, because there was another Freeport its name was changed to Prairie Depot. The railroad had called the settlement Kremlin.
