Daarnaast is er voor het eerst ook een zes- uursrace op her Yas Marina Circuit, dat echter niet meetelt voor het kampioenschap. Op één uitzondering na worden alle negen lange- afstandsraces op de kalender voor het komende jaar gehouden op circuits waarop actueel ook een Formule 1-Grand Prix verreden wordt, of waarop dat in het verleden het geval was. Drie van de circuits, het Circuit de Spa- Francorchamps in België, de Hockenheimring in Duitsland en het Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spanje, zijn of waren tientallen jaren lang vast onderdeel van de Formule 1-kalender. Volgend jaar wordt ook de structuur van de serie gewijzigd. Voortaan rijden teams en rijders voor één gemeenschappelijke titel in de 24H SERIES powered by Hankook.
