Cooperation with the German University in Cairo (GUC) Ulm University, University of Stuttgart & University of Tübingen
Project Description Overview: Cooperation with the GUC Research Clusters The cooperation between Ulm University and the German University Activities: Matchmaking-Workshops, Research Stays, Proposal- in Cairo (GUC) is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service Workshops, Summer Schools, Proposal Writing Training (DAAD). The focus of the collaboration has shifted in 2015. Since then, the liason between the GUC, Ulm University, the University of Phase I-Projects (Contact Phase, 1 year): Stuttgart and the University of Tübingen has been focused on developing and maintaining sustainable research cooperations. Beside the mobility of students which is realized mainly at the MA and PhD level, the formation and promotion of research clusters has been fostered. Apart from that, quality assurance measures were Phase II-Projects (Continuation of Research, 2 years): undertaken to further develop curricula and instruction. This is supposed to strengthen the role of the GUC in Egypt and to establish it as a Science Hub in the MENA region.
