Show intro - Theme Best CDs I currently own, part two. If on a deserted island with a CD player and a solar power source, which CDs would I want to have? 2 songs from each disc. This will be a 2 part episode. Chronological order, picking up in 2002.

Against Me! - Reinventing Axl Rose Released in 2002. Amazing sound. Awesome energy. Still at it today, though they've definitely evolved. Hard to choose one of their old school CDs. We Laugh At Danger (And Break All The Rules) Walking is Still Honest

The Tossers - Purgatory Released 2003. Irish punk. One of the many bands inspired by the Pogues from previous ep. Chicago based. Harven't heard anything from the in a while. Many CDs, all on the same vein other than Communiation and Conviction. Varied style, slow, punk, in between; all CDs like that. Caoin (Lament) With the North Wind

The Killers - Sam's Town Releaed 2006. More mainstream, but I'm totally gay for indie rock. I dig everything these guys have done, even solo Brandon Flowers. Bones This River is Wild

Hank Williams III - Straight to Hell Released 2006. Outlaw country. Attitude, alcohol and drugs, outlaw country sound. Straight to Hell Pills I Took

Chuck Ragan & Austin Lucas - Bristle Ridge Releaed 2008. Folky bluegrass. Having grown up around blue grass music, it's a bit nostalgic for me. The CD is really good in it's own right. Bloody Shells Heading Down

Mid-show Interruption Steam sucks. As bad as iTunes. Fuck them.

The Gaslight Anthem - '59 Sound Releaed 2008. Solid rock n roll. I'm pretty gay for Brian Fallon's music. I did see them live a few times, the last time thought they were a bit toolish. Great Expectations Here's Looking At You Kid

Bright Eyes - The People's Key Released 2011. This CD is most excellent. It's real chill. Conor Oberst has definitely evolved. I'm also pretty gay for Oberst's music. Shell Games A Machine Spiritual (In The People's Key)

Tim Barry - 40 Miler Release 2012. Tim Barry is awesome. Folky, country, punk edge lyrics. Counter culture attitude. I'm a fan of most everything he's done. Just sings real shit about living and being. Amen Wezeltown

Frank Turner - Releaed 2013. I've liked much of what he's done. On the edge of being too dorky for me. This is a super solid CD. English folk, punk edge lyrics. We Shall Not Overcome Plain Sailing Weather

Chuck Ragan - Till Midnight Released 2014. Ragan is really great. Folk, country sound. Songs about life, love, and more. Revved You and I Alone
