Commuting Solutions to Host 11th Annual Legislative Breakfast Elected officials and business leaders come together to move forward with 2020 vision in transportation, joined by Governor Jared Polis to share an update from the Capitol.
LOUISVILLE, Colo. – On January 6 at the Aloft Hotel in Broomfield, integral aspects of the region’s transportation needs will be at the forefront of conversation, highlighting public policy, legislation and the vision for our multimodal future. With a new year and a new decade ahead of the region for multimodal transportation, Commuting Solutions and the US 36 Mayors & Commissioners’ Coalition’s 11th Legislative Breakfast will convene elected officials, industry leaders and private sector stakeholders from across the region to advocate for the future of the Northwest Metro Region’s transportation.
Governor Jared Polis will be speaking at the event about his goals for transportation in the coming year. He will be joined by other elected officials, including Speaker of the House KC Becker, Representative Matt Gray, Senator Faith Winter and Senator Rachel Zenzinger, who will provide insight into legislative priorities surrounding transportation for the 2020 session. A panel comprised of transportation industry leaders from CDOT and RTD and private sector stakeholders will explore topics from innovation in transportation to regional needs and the impact of transportation on climate change.
“The Legislative Breakfast is an amazing opportunity to convene the public and private sector stakeholders in advance of the 2020 legislative session commencing,” states Audrey DeBarros, Executive Director of Commuting Solutions. “Sustainable transportation funding remains a top priority for the state legislature. We’re looking forward to reinforcing the growing needs of the Northwest metro region.” The 11th Legislative Breakfast is on Monday, January 6, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Aloft Hotel, 8300 Arista Place, Broomfield.
