HEALTH UPDATES

IOM continues with EVD prevention and preparedness activities in the 9 PoEs in Morobo, , Yei, Nimule, Juba and Wau. In week nineteen, 2,362 inbound travelers were screened bringing the cumulative number of travelers screened to 2,280,416. There was no traveler who undergo secondary screening.

DTM UPDATES

Eight out of eleven FMPs submitted data on time for the weekly update. Based on data submitted by Monday 11 May, 1,633 individuals were surveyed in groups on arrival to during the reporting period. Numbers of incoming travelers remain low due to mobility restrictions related to COVID-19. The main regions of departure were Ituri (41.9% of respondents) and Haut-Uele (16.0%) in DRC, while the main reported counties of destination were Morobo (41.8%) and Juba (23.7%). Most respondents reported South Sudanese nationality (64.8%), followed by Ugandan (23.1%).
