NO. 29 Page 1 1 managed a cow-calf operation in Rogers County on land settled by his 2 family in Indian Territory; and 3 WHEREAS, Clem McSpadden, a native son of Oklahoma, served his 4 country in the United States Navy during World War II and his state 5 in the Oklahoma State Senate as President Pro Tempore, the first in 6 history to succeed himself. He was elected to the United States 7 House of Representatives where he founded the Rural Caucus, which is 8 still in existence today, and was the first freshman in history to 9 be appointed to the House
