Alumni, Friends, & Fans –

It has been an absolute joy hitting the ground running here with Lewis Men’s Vol- leyball. For those of you who I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet, my name is Galen Dodd and I am one of the two new assistants this year. Coming out from

Los Angeles you might need to help me adjust to the winter a bit… haha! The team is about a week into regular fall practices and we are excited for the

season! This year there are 27 guys on the roster with high level competition from

top to bottom. The 9 new players this year make up a majority of the team and

quickly are becoming confident, able young men. For us the fall is about finding our rhythm and getting the team adjusted to expectations and the grind of the

year come season time in the spring. That starts this Sunday, October 21st! Lewis

MVB is hosting a 6 team Flyer Festival featuring your Flyers, the ,

McKendree Bearcats, , Quincy Hawks, and St. Ambrose Fighting

Bees. Every team will play 4 matches.

Thanks for tuning into this edition of the Coaches’ Corner and look forward to seeing all your support

through the season!

The Players Side:

With Mitch Perinar and Julian Moses Your Flyers have kicked off the 2018-2019 season with a bang. In the first few weeks of school we got acclimated to school and met the whole litter of freshmen. We have done many team bonding activities, including coming off our two week trip to Italy and Slo- venia. We also just returned from our last dunes trip as well as our last paintballing excursion. The old men kept their composure in the trenches and put an absolute paint slaughter down on the young men. We are currently looking forward to beginning our fall season with a couple of home matches this weekend at good ol’ Neil and a trip to Ball State next week. Hope to see you out at some games!
