A total of 468 entries were received from up and down the UK and Republic of Ireland. Undergraduate and Postgraduate Awards will be made in several categories: Animation, Entertainment, Scripted, Non-Scripted, News and Natural History. The undergraduate entries were initially judged in 12 of the Society’s Regional Centres and the nominations for the national final were selected from the regional winners by the national juries. Postgraduate entries were judged at national level only. There are numerous ways in which you can get involved in the activities of the RTS. It’s is free to join as a student member and the benefits include a greater connection to your regional centre and invitations to local and national events. Student members are welcome to RTS networking events with industry professionals who come from a range of different television backgrounds. Whether you want to get your foot on the ladder or just learn more about all things TV you can sign up on our website. Once you’ve taken your first steps in your career in television, come along to a RTS Futures event. A vibrant community of bright young talent from across the UK, RTS Futures gives you opportunities to rub shoulders with industry leaders who are more than happy to give you advice, listen to your pitches and check out your CV. During her time there she co-created Popstars the Rivals and Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. In 2003 she left ITV to start a new independent production company with Simon Cowell, Syco Television, where she co-created and executive produced The X Factor from 2004, and Britain's Got Talent from 2007. They have since gone on to become two of the biggest global talent formats of all time. She returned to ITV to become Director of Entertainment for ITV Stu- dios in 2012 where she executive produced the return of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, oversaw the relaunch of Love Island in 2015 and executive produced the US version of Saturday Night Takeaway on NBC, Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris. In May 2016 she became Head of Entertainment Commissioning for ITV, re- sponsible for ITV’s biggest entertainment formats including The Masked Singer, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Britain's Got Tal- ent, The X Factor, Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, and The Voice. In October 2019 Siobhan left ITV to set up her own independent tele- vision production company, 110% Content. 7 Host Vick Hope A Nigerian-Geordie with a Cambridge degree, Vick Hope is a multilingual, multi-skilled and multifaceted presenter making waves in the world of broadcast, an industry she has worked in since she was 19 years old. Sunday Times Style have dubbed Vick ‘a new voice of a generation’ after cementing herself as a BBC Radio 1 favourite presenting two national shows each week Life Hacks and The Official Chart: First Look. Last year Vick presented for BAFTA for their Film Awards Red Carpet, she landed two shows on BBC Radio 1, became an Amnesty International Ambassador alongside Olivia Colman, presented her own show for I’m A Celebrity, stepped into Carol Voderman’s shoes for the CITV reboot of classic children’s programme HOW, hosted her own 6-part music series Back To Mine for 4Music and The Box, taught the nation French for BBC Celebrity Supply Teacher and presented live segments for This Morning and Lorraine audiences. From presenting award winning shows across radio and television to writing books and standing up for human rights, Vicks natural empathy and upbeat personality means she exudes confidence and is always able to connect with her audience, however intimate or large. Vick kicked off 2021 by releasing her second children’s book with previous co-host Roman Kemp (Capital Breakfast from 2017- 2020). Shout Out: Use your voice, save the day which is the sequel to their first book Listen Up: Rule The Airwaves, Rule The School. Becoming the author of two children’s books ties in with Vick’s passion to get the nation reading. This year Vick is part of the prestigious judging panel for Women’s Prize For Fiction where she and her fellow judges have whittled 144 books down to just 6 for the recommended shortlist. Media outlets warm to Vick’s natural passion and enthusiasm for her projects which help to secure the following high reaching national media appearances: BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 2, Sunday Brunch, BBC This Morning, BBC Two, Lorraine, The I Weekend, MarieClaire, Rollacoaster, Wonderland, Evening Standard, Grazia and Stylist. Vick is a popular BBC Radio 1 presenter and in addition to her two weekly shows, she has worked with producers to create a Life Hacks Wellbeing Toolkit which has advice on career, friendships, money, education and more for younger adults. BBC Sounds and Warner have commissioned Vick’s own podcast series Songs To Live By which is a 10 x 30 minute episode series where Vick hosts two guests each week to talk about the importance of black music within our society. With international critically acclaimed guests joining Vick each week, the series has been commissioned for a second series. To cement Vick’s love of entertainment and as someone who is at the forefront of pop culture, she hosted VM BAFTA Television Awards, live from the red carpet on the 6th June. After a year of lockdown, this was a huge moment for the entertainment industry and a presenting position which Vick had been hand selected to front.     Lauren Layfield Lauren Layfield is a British Guyanese TV and radio broadcaster, with a range of experience across live, factual and comedy shows. In early 2020, Lauren was announced as the new solo host of the BAFTA-winning programme ‘The Dog Ate My Homework’, previously fronted by ITV2 comedian Iain Stirling. Filming of the CBBC comedy panel show is scheduled for later this year. She is the host of Capital’s 'Early Breakfast' slot, live from 4am to 6am on weekdays and is the cover presenter for ‘The Capital Breakfast Show with Roman Kemp’. Lauren is an accomplished live television presenter thanks to four years of weekday afternoons presenting live continuity on ‘CBBC HQ’. She was the host of design programme ‘The Dengineers’ which won the BAFTA for Best Factual Entertainment in 2019 and she currently presents ‘The Playlist’ where she interviews the biggest names in pop, as well as appearing as a guest on countless other CBBC shows. In sport, you may have seen her presenting for BBC One’s ‘Match of the Day’ and its youth-oriented spin-off ‘MOTDx’ on BBC Two. She has hosted for the Premier League, Gfinity’s FIFA Elite Series and she’s a Manchester City fan. Lauren’s career started in journalism working as a reporter, which saw her wearing stab vests on 4am police raids, interviewing sex workers and joining protestors at a nuclear power station. This unique background made her the perfect choice for Channel 4’s ‘Hollyoaks’ podcast, which takes issues raised in the soap and delves into the stories and people behind them, from far-right extremism to drag culture.
