Old Lo ck h ar t H wy FM 1626 Toll Road Fact Sheet

In Central Texas, there are two transportation agencies that operate the toll roads: the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. Both agencies accept toll payments one of two ways:

x TxTag Electronic Payment: A TxTag is a thin sticker that goes on the inside of your windshield. An electronic reader above the toll roads sends a signal to the microchip inside the sticker and tolls are automatically deducted from your prepaid TxTag account.

x Pay By Mail: Drivers without a TxTag are mailed a statement from the transportation agency operating the toll road that was driven. Toll rates paid by mail are higher than TxTag rates and each bill comes with an additional processing charge.
