His design was chosen from “a wide selection of entries received from schools across the constituency.” Mrs Churchill went on to say, “Your design was chosen for its whimsical portrayal of Christmas in Suffolk ….. your card has been sent to my fellow colleagues in Westminster and those within the constituency. The Engineering Residential in Cambridge This term is always a busy one for our Engineering Education team. Their residential at Cambridge ’s Engineering Centre allows them to make huge progress on their project which involves designing an alarm for lone working. As well as having the expertise of the Cambridge staff, the engineers from Hawkins and Mr Randé, students also benefited from all the specialist equipment and facilities as well as the chance to experience life at Cambridge. The group is now continuing with their project ready for finals day in April. Well done to Sam Doye, Joshua Emerson, Ruth Hole, Ben James and Eric Navarette. We remain grateful to the staff here and at Hawkins for their support. Another great month for sport! All thirty-five weekly sports clubs are now up and running as well as a full programme of fixtures. This month has been particularly busy with badminton and basketball and some great successes in both.

The Badminton County Finals n This month saw both the U14 boys’ and girls’ competitions and we were delighted that both our A teams went through from the Western Area competitions to the Suffolk Championships.
