Press Release 15 October 2015

MTR and RTHK Radio 2 DJs join hands to “Share Love” through Promoting Courtesy

MTR passengers are encouraged to display their caring community spirit during their daily journeys in this year’s MTR x RTHK Courtesy Campaign under the theme “To live and share love in .” duo “” and DJs from RTHK Radio 2 programmes “Morning Suite” and “Crazy and Happy” joined hands with MTR Corporation to kick off the campaign today (15 October 2015), which is aimed at making travel experiences more enjoyable.

“MTR strives to provide a safe, reliable and comfortable travelling environment for all of our passengers. Just a small gesture may be a big help to another passenger in need. For example, facilitating those in need to use the lift first, letting passengers exit from the train before boarding, or giving your seat to a senior citizen or a pregnant mother. To share the love, we only need to be considerate of the needs of others,“ said Mr Francis Li, Head of Operating of MTR Corporation.

During this year’s Courtesy Campaign, a full line-up of RTHK Radio 2’s 29 DJs will appear in posters throughout the MTR network to promote the do’s and don’ts of good passenger behaviour and the joy of assisting others in their MTR journeys. The RTHK Radio 2 DJs will also reach out to passengers through their radio programmes to share the positive energy that can be transmitted through thoughtful and considerate behaviour.

The posters also feature the rich variety of artwork in the MTR network installed to provide more vibrancy in MTR journeys.

“Through this campaign, we hope to encourage passengers to slow down, look around, and to appreciate what is happening around them. People in Hong Kong are very busy in their everyday lives, so it’s great when we can pause for a moment to enjoy the artwork along the MTR network. In this way we can refresh our minds and maybe even find some inspirations to make our day more rewarding,” said Mr David Ho, Head of RTHK Radio 2.
