TO: AGENTS IN IATA BSPs & INTERLINE PARTNERS ISSUED: 15 MAY 2008 CARPATAIR E-TICKETING POLICY STARTING 01 JUNE 2008 (IATA DEADLINE FOR PAPER TICKETS) Dear Partners, Carpatair (V3) would like to inform all travel agents and interline partners that effective 01 June 2008 V3 will have 100% electronic ticketing eligibility on its own routes for the issuance of V3 plated E-tickets (prefixed 021) across all of V3 sales channels. 1. V3 Electronic Ticket Issue Policy Carpatair may be selected as ticketing carrier by travel agents when issuing e-tickets to cover journeys entirely on V3 flights with V3 flight designator code including marketing flights. 2. V3 Interline Electronic Tickets Agreements (IETs) Carpatair has completed IET agreements with the following carriers. This means that providing Carpatair flights are part of an interline journey with the following carriers, Carpatair tickets may be issued in accordance with the V3 ticket issue policy. V3 Paper Tickets Agreements still in force Carpatair has not yet completed IET Agreements with the following carriers. This means that providing Carpatair flights are part of an interline journey with the following carriers, Carpatair tickets may be issued only by Carpatair offices in accordance with the V3 V-MPD policy stated under paragraph 4a. Ticketing/change fee collection on V3 plate using V-MPD policy 4.a. V-MPD vs. ticket issuance When an electronic ticket cannot be issued the BSP agency will issue a Virtual MPD (V-MPD) for V3 in the BSP Link and V3 office will issue a paper ticket. ***This procedure shall apply only for departures from Romania (CLJ, OMR, SUJ, SBZ, CRA, BCM, IAS, SCV, CND, BUH, TGM, TSR) Ukraine (LWO, ODS, IEV) and Republic of Moldova (KIV).*** No service charge or PTA charge applies. Follow the procedure to issue a V-MPD: Complete a V-MPD for each passenger to be ticketed: Enter the following mandatory fields: NAME OF PASSENGER REASON FOR ISSUE: Select 40 – Prepaid Ticket Advice AIRLINE CODE: enter 021 FARE: enter the fare TAXES: insert all taxes applicable to a ticket issue SERVICE CHARGE/TAX ON MPD: enter if applicable PNR: enter PNR locator REMARKS: copy the flight segments from the booking and enter any additional information Then: Enter the V-MPD number in the PNR (Booking record). Carpatair S.A. 4.b. Collecting change fees on Carpatair In case of electronic tickets, change fees shall be collected and original e-ticket reissued with additional collection. Penalty charge/fee shall be collected as a distinct tax under the code YR . Travel agents may issue a V-MPD for collecting change fees on Carpatair in case of paper tickets. Completion of V-MPD for change fees: AIRLINE CODE: Enter 021 Carpatair REASON FOR ISSUE: Select 50 – Specified MCO CURRENCY, AMOUNT IN FIGURES and AMOUNT IN LETTERS complete in the normal way FARE BOX: Enter the upgrade amount if applicable TAX BOX: Enter the penalty charge/fee amount under the code YR ISSUED IN CONNECTION WITH: Enter the associated ticket number (i.e. 3- digit airline code followed by the 10-digit ticket number without any spaces e.g. 0211234567890) Then: Enter the V-MPD number in the PNR (Booking record). Enter these details as an OSI/SSR item for transmittal to Carpatair: e.g. OSI V3 MPD 0211234567890 / SSR: OTHS V3 MPD 0211234567890 If there are problems regarding the issuing of electronic tickets/ V-MPDs at a BSP agency and the agency is not able to solve the problem, it will contact the reservations system helpdesk. The agent may request the Carpatair office to cancel the document on the same day. If the document cancellation is not requested on the same day, the V-MPD will go through accounting and a later refund must be requested via BSP Link.
