How to Get There Hampden County Wednesday, December 13th, 2017, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friends of the Homeless Resource Center/Shelter 755 Worthington St., Springfield, MA 01105 By Public Transit: From the Holyoke Transportation Center take the P21 Express Bus to the Springfield Bus Terminal. At the Springfield Bus Terminal, take the B17 bus to the Eastfield Mall via Worthington Street and the bus stop is directly in front of 755 Worthington St., Springfield. By Car: From the North: Take Rt. 91S to Springfield for about 18 miles, take Exit 8 for I-291/US 20 E. Keep left to continue to Exit 2, follow the signs Chestnut St. and merge onto Chestnut St. Turn right onto Liberty St., and use the left 2 lanes to turn left at the first cross street onto Dwight St. Turn left onto Worthington St, and the destination will be on the right. From the South: Take 83N towards Springfield for a little over 2 miles and take a slight right onto White St. for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Allen St., continue straight onto Walnut St., keep straight onto Federal St., and turn left onto Worthington St., and the destination will be on the left. From the East: Take the Mass Pike West toward Springfield/Albany. Take Exit 6 for I-291 toward Springfield/Hartford. Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto I-291W, (signs for Interstate 291 W/Interstate 91/Springfield). Take Exit 4 for St. James Ave. toward Chicopee Falls and stay on St. James Ave for about 1.5 miles and use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto Page Blvd., use any lane to turn left on St. James Ave., turn right on Dartmouth St., turn left onto Worthington St. and the destination will be on the left. From the West: Take US-20 E and turn right onto the ramp for U.S. 20-E/Interstate 291 E. Keep right to continue on Exit 2 and follow the signs for Chestnut St. Merge onto Chestnut St., turn right onto Liberty St., use the left 2 lanes at the first cross street onto Dwight St., turn left onto Worthington St. and the destination will be on the right. How to Get There Middlesex County Thursday, December 14th, 2017, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates / Atrius Health 40 Holland Street (Davis Square), Somerville, MA 02144 By Public Transit: MBTA Red Line: take the Red Line to the Davis Square stop and exit the station via Holland Street. Harvard Vanguard is in the 4-story red brick building next to the Holland Street exit of the MBTA Davis Square stop on the Red Line. The main, and accessible entrance, is located on Holland Street about half way down the building. MBTA Orange Line: transfer to the Red Line at Downtown Crossing station and then follow the Red Line directions above. MBTA Green Line: transfer to the Red Line at Park Street station and then follow the Red Line directions above. MBTA Blue Line: Travelling inbound from Wonderland station, connect to the Orange Line at State Street station. Take the Orange Line towards Forrest Hills and go one stop to Downtown Crossing station. Transfer to the Red Line train and then follow the Red Line directions above. Commuter Rail / Porter Square Station: Transfer to the MBTA Red Line train at Porter Square station and then follow the Red Line directions above. Commuter Rail / South Station: Transfer to the MBTA Red Line train at South Station and then follow the Red Line directions above. Commuter Rail / North Station: Exit North station and cross Causeway Street to access the North Station MBTA stop at the corner of Causeway and Haverhill Streets. Take the Green Line inbound (any train) two stops to Park Street station and transfer to the Red Line train, then follow the Red Line directions above. By Car: From Cambridge (Harvard Square): From Harvard Square, travel North on Massachusetts Avenue and pass the Porter Square T-Station and the Porter Square Shopping Center on the right. From Porter Square, continue on Massachusetts Avenue through seven traffic lights. At the seventh traffic light, turn right onto Cameron Avenue. Follow Cameron Avenue directions below. From the West (Route 2 or Route 16 Watertown): Travel East on Route 16 past the Alewife T- Station and continue to the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue. Turn right onto Massachusetts Avenue. At the third set of traffic lights, take a left onto Cameron Avenue. Follow Cameron Avenue directions below. How to Get There Cameron Avenue Directions: At the end of Cameron Avenue, turn right onto Holland Street. Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates is five streets down on the right hand side, on the corner of Buena Vista Road. Turn right onto Buena Vista Road to access parking. From the North: Take Route 93 South to Exit 32 (Route 60, Medford Square). Bear right at the end of the ramp proceeding through Medford Square and follow signs to Route 16 West. Follow Route 16 directions below. From the South: Take Route 93 North to Exit 31 (Route 16 West/Mystic Valley Parkway). Follow Route 16 directions below. From the East: Travel on Route 16 West (Revere Beach Parkway - Mystic Valley Parkway - Alewife Brook Parkway). Follow Route 16 directions below. Route 16 Directions: Follow Route 16 (for approximately 2 miles from the Route 93 exits) until you reach the intersection of Route 16 and Broadway (Somerville). Turn left onto Broadway. At the second set of traffic lights (Teele Square), bear right onto Holland Street. Harvard Vanguard is nine streets down on the right at the corner of Buena Vista Road. Turn right onto Buena Vista Road to access parking. Parking Options: Parking is available on Buena Vista Road in the metered municipal (city*) lot which is immediately on your left, or further down the road on the left in the Harvard Vanguard underground garage. There is a $3.00 parking fee for the garage. *Information from City of Somerville Dept. of Traffic and Parking website: Meter rates are $1.00/hour and are sold in increments of .25 cents per 15 minutes. All meter rates and times are written on each meter. To minimize your chances of being ticketed, you should park in a parking space with an appropriate time limit for your anticipated length of stay. As a general rule, parking spaces located curbside on streets in front of most stores allow for parking up to 2 hours. These parking meters are identified by a yellow band visible on the meter post. Parking meters located in off-street parking lots allow for parking up to 3 hours. All 3-hour meters are identified by an orange band positioned at the top of the meter post. Please park within the delineated spaces, and avoid parking in handicapped parking spaces, cross walks, loading zones or bus stops. The Parking Control Officers and Somerville Police routinely patrol the commercial area for violators of all city parking regulations. .
