Orsay, February 22nd, 2012

The 5th workshop of the ‐China Particle Physics laboratory will be held on March 21st to March 23rd, followed by the steering committee meeting on March 24th. The FCPP workshop is jointly organized by LAL (IN2P3, Orsay) and Irfu (CEA, ) laboratories.

Lodging will be proposed in the “Relais des Chartreux” in the small town of Saulx‐les‐Chartreux , few kilometers away from Orsay and Saclay. Accommodations fees will be covered by FCPPL for the Chinese participants to the workshop. The transfer between the hotel and the workshop venue will be organized by charter buses.

The preliminary program is defined as follows: (attention: program subject to changes, please check for updates)

Wednesday March 21nd ‐ 9am to 6pm @LAL: registration, opening ceremony (with officials from IN2P3, Irfu, ‐11 university), particle physics session (CMS & ATLAS), computing session.

Thursday March 22nd ‐ 9am to 6pm @LAL: heavy flavor session (including LHCb & BES), theory session, astroparticle and cosmology session. Visit of the Orsay campus facilities (2 groups) ‐ 7pm: workshop banquet at Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay [to be confirmed].

Friday March 23th ‐ 9am to 6pm @ the “Orme des Merisiers” CEA site: heavy ions session (including Alice and Atomic Mass Evaluation), accelerator & detector development session (including ILC). Visit of SOLEIL or Neurospin facilities, or cryogenics department at CEA (3 groups). Registration for the visits are requested in order to comply with CEA sites access rules. The registration procedure will be set up soon and will close on March 9th. ‐ 7pm: diner @ “Ferme du bout des prés”.

Saturday March 24th ‐ 9 am to 12am @ “Relais des Chartreux” : steering committee meeting (open to steering committee members only). ‐ 9am to 12am @ Versailles’s castle: guided visit for registered persons.

People wishing to participate to the FCPPL workshop are urgently requested to subscribe at this web page. Registration will be open until March 5th. Should you need an invitation letter for your visa application, please specify it on the registration page. The scanned letter will be emailed right away and the paper letter sent by post mail.

Final details on the FCPPL workshop will be released in a third bulletin, to be issued early March.
