Afternoon : Get settled at hotel; trip orientation; free time Evening : Dinner in the “Quarter” @ Olivier’s Creole Restaurant ; explore Bourbon St. at night, take the Algiers ferry across the Mississippi and back for a beautiful view of the city at night!

Tues., April 8 Morning : Breakfast @ Magnolia Grill ; French Quarter walking tour

Afternoon : Take the St. Charles Ave. streetcar uptown; lunch Uptown @ Casimento’s ; walking tour of St. Charles mansions ; explore Magazine St.; free time to relax by the pool or further explore the French Quarter . Evening : Dinner @ Maurepas (Bywater); Frenchman St. “club crawl,” free time

Wed., April 9 Morning : Breakfast on your own; community service Afternoon : Box lunch at work site; community service; tour Lower Ninth Ward to see restoration from Katrina Evening : Dinner @ Joey K’s; free time with options to visit clubs and hear music in smaller groups.

Thurs., April 10 Morning : Breakfast on your own; “swamp tour” @ Barataria Preserve ( ½ hour drive via van) Afternoon : Box lunch @ Barataria Preserve; free time in French Quarter Evening : Dinner @ Bacchanal ; attend Zydeco Night @ Rock ‘n Bowl (bowling and dancing optional!)

Fri,. April 11 Morning : Breakfast on your own; attend French Quarter Festival opening second line parade Afternoon : Lunch on your own @ French Quarter Festival ; attend festival. Evening : Dinner on your own @FQF; free time
