Elementary School Fitness Meet St. Bernard Parish physical education teachers recently held the Elementary School Fitness Meet at Chalmette High School. This event brought student athletes from each school together for this one-day event. Kate Williams, teacher at Smith Elementary, said the event cele- brates students’ hard work and athletic abilities. “The Meet gives kids the opportunity to see that working hard can lead to success - whether in school or on the field.” At the end of the event, Lacoste Elementary won first place and Smith Elementary placed second.
