La ville est comme un spectaculaire amphithéâtre grimpant sur les flancs de la montagne, surplombant la mer et entourant ses visiteurs. La tradition et l’histoire se côtoient avec une scène culturelle très dynamique. L’héritage de la période hanséatique va de pair avec le statut actuel de Bergen comme Ville Européenne de la Culture.
