Beautiful natural landscapes (forests, lakes, rivers, clean air) and lack of heavy industryare definitely to biggest assests of the area. ¯ukowois located 19 km south-west from Gdañsk, 27 km from Gdynia and 12 km from Kartuzy. The townis part of the Gdañsk Bay Metropolitean Public Transport Association, has a railway station and many tourist trekking routes (including the blue trekking Kartuzy route). ¯ukowois located only 15 km away from the Lech Wa³êsa Airport in Gdañsk and 20 km from the Gdañsk main railway station. Amongst the most important historical buildings in ¯ukowoare the post-norbertine church from 1212-1214 (with precious art work), the Church of John the Baptist from 1604, and the cemetary chapel from 1174. We also have a very unique collection of Kashubian embroideryon display in the parish museum.Other historical objects in the area include a still working 13th century grain mill in ¯ukowo, the steel railway bridge or the Rutki hydropower station built in 1910-1911.
