In October we had our semi-annual safety meetings at Recreation Lanes. Some employees chose to enjoy 3 of bowling together afterwards. We are hoping to offer additional opportunities throughout 2019 to hang out and get to know your co-workers. If you have an idea or suggestion please let us know! Seasons Greetings Timber Associates:

I hope you are all having a safe and enjoyable holiday season. As 2018 winds down I want to thank you all for your efforts and contributions in making this a successful year for Timber Products. Looking ahead to 2019 we expect more of the same. While the stock market has certainly been volatile lately, most economists are still predicting growth for 2019 at just a slightly lower rate than 2018. Truck freight is expected to grow by 4.5%. There is still a national shortage of drivers of nearly 500,000. All of these things mean we should find plenty of freight opportunity in the months ahead. As always, with everything you do, please put safety first and foremost in all of your travels. As discussed at the safety meetings, I also ask that you become increasingly diligent with your pre-trip and post-trip inspections. We have to improve our roadside inspection performance this year. We have an excellent team here, capable of producing great results. Let’s all work together to make sure we get the job done. Thank you for your efforts and best of luck on a safe and prosperous 2019.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Adam

COLD AND FLU SEA- SON ARE COMING UP. PLEASE LET US KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF YOU ARE NOT FEEL- ING WELL ENOUGH TO TAKE A LOAD OR DELIVER ON TIME. WE UNDERSTAND THAT THINGS COME UP BUT WOULD LIKE TO LET OUR CUSTOM- ERS KNOW AS SOON AS WE CAN.

LEFT: Company driver, Scott Willbanks was able to meet up with his daughter for a quick visit in Texas. As you are all aware, we have a game that we do to ensure pre-trip inspections are being done. We randomly place a tag somewhere that you should find it when doing the in- spection. When you find it you MUST CALL IN IMME- DIATELY. You will then get a gift card. If you DO NOT find it 1st offense is to do a one-on-one walk around mock pre-trip with a mechanic. 2nd offense will be for you to watch a 1 hour safety video about the importance of doing SEND US YOUR TRUCK PHOTOS these inspections. These tags are NOT in tricky spots. Adam goes out and finds every one placed. AND WE WILL ROTATE THEM OWNER OPERATORS & LOCAL DRIVERS ARE NOT THROUGH BEING OUR EXEMPT. Good luck and FACEBOOK COVER PHOTOS happy ... THROUGHOUT THE QUARTER

SPECIAL THANKS TO THE FOLLOWING DRIVERS FOR GOOD INSPECTIONS THIS PAST QUARTER. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. REMINDER THAT EACH CLEAN INSPECTION WE GIVE YOU $50

MECHANIC’S CORNER

Please be sure to have at least a half tank of fuel in your trucks when parking in the yard during the colder weather.

If you know that you are coming in with write-ups and can give us any advance notice, we appreciate it. Likewise, please do your best to estimate the day that you will be leaving out on that write-up.

Due to recent inspection viola- tions, all owner operators trucks and trailers will be run through the shop and inspected every 30 days. Charges will only be in- curred if problems are found. Special thank you to Adam and his wife, Sarah, for putting on such a wonderful Christmas party this year. Everyone had a great time and we are already looking forward to next year.
