Joe is one of the foremost, innovative, authorities in composite boat building and tool making. His passion for the sea is founded in his Portuguese heritage. He loves to work, his family works beside him daily, building better boats everyday, and during the summer months they can be found fishing on them after hours. Joe decided to locate the production facility in the boat building capital of New England- Bristol, Rhode Island. Where we test new models with dealers and boat owners on beautiful Narragansett Bay.

NorthCoast Boats is a division of C&C Marine and C&C Fiberglass, Inc. C&C Marine is a premier boat builder producing high quality fishing and recreational boats. J-Boats, and other iconic brands, continue to rely upon C&C Marine for molded hulls and decks of their select high end models. During the nineties they were the builder behind the scenes for Dick Lema, (noted designer and previous Lema brand Owner). In 2000 the opportunity presented itself to purchase the Lema brand and hull molds. Shortly thereafter Lema was renamed NorthCoast Boats. We honor our commitment to building quality fishing boats. We use them and we fish them so that we are confident that our valued customers cannot own a better built boat.

Our optional low-profile bow rails, hand-crafted cushions, insulated storage boxes, and pop up hardware also assist in keeping everyone happy and very comfortable. Blue live wells are designed to keep your bait happy and alive longer. The hulls are aggressive in that they cut the water like a knife and sit comfortably when drifting.
