SERVICES

VILLAGE OFFICE Village Hall (second floor) at Broadway and Pomander Walk. Hours: Mon.- Fri., 9 AM - 5 PM (year-round); Saturdays (in-season) as posted. Mailing Address: PO Box 5551, Bay Shore NY 11706-0329.

DOCTOR’S OFFICE 14 Bay Promenade at Broadway. July-Labor Day: 10-11 AM & 5-6 PM daily, except no PM hours on Wed. and Sat. Off-season: coverage is sporadic; call Saltaire Security for information.

SUPERVISED BROADWAY (ocean) SWIMMING ––Late June-Labor Day: weekdays, 10 AM-5 PM; weekends, 10 AM-6 PM; AREAS early June and late September: weekends only. SEA WALK (ocean) ––July-Labor Day only: same hours. BROADWAY (bay) – Dates are posted: weekdays, 9 AM-5 PM; weekends, 10 AM-6 PM. Ocean Conditions: American Flag = good swimming; White Flag = swim with caution; Red Flag = no swimming. Location of supervised swimming areas subject to beach conditions and lifeguard availability.

RECREATION Ages 4-12 – July and August: Mon.-Fri., 9 AM-12 noon. Organized activities, arts & crafts and water PROGRAM safety instruction. Afternoon soccer and cork ball leagues. Rates, registration and dates of operation available at Village Office.Adults – weekend soccer and softball leagues. Dates/hours are posted.

REFUSE Mon. and Thurs., mid-June - mid-Sept.; Mondays only, all other times. If Monday is a legal holiday, COLLECTION pickup is on Tuesday. Schedule will be posted. (See REFUSE COLLECTION AND RECYCLING placard for mandatory instructions and regulations.)

VILLAGE CARTAGE Mon.-Fri. year-round; also Sat. in season. Services (privately paid) include freight deliveries and pick-up of bulk items not removed by Village. Call Village Carter directly for rates/information.

VILLAGE MARINA May-Oct.: prior permit required for boat docking or beaching. Nov. - Apr.: separate permit required. Obtain rates/information at Village Office. For temporary guest docking or beaching, contact Security. Overnight occupancy of boats is prohibited.

POST OFFICE Village Hall (Pomander Walk entrance). Mon. – Sat., mid-June-early Sept. Specific dates/hours are posted.

VILLAGE LIBRARY Village Hall (Broadway entrance). July – August. Specific dates/hours are posted.

SALTAIRE PARKING Foot of Maple Ave. Open May - Sept. Application for homeowner’s annual parking permit must be mailed LOT (BAY SHORE) in early January to Village Office. Others should call Village Office to check availability of permits. Call for dates/hours of lot operation. (After-hours service [in-season only], call: 665-3600 or 665-5045.)

FERRY TICKETS Available for purchase at Main Terminal in Bay Shore or on the ferry. Discount 40-trip books for homeowners only are available in limited supply through Village Office.

SALTAIRE MARKET Located on Broadway (opposite Village Hall). May-Sept., dates/hours are posted.

RELIGIOUS SERVICES Catholic: Our Lady Star of the Sea. Lighthouse Promenade at Navy Walk, 583-7613 (Rectory). Mass July 4th weekend until Labor Day, Sunday 9:00 & 11:00 AM; Saturday 5:00 PM. For off-season Masses, check the Church bulletin board. Episcopal: St. Andrew's By-the-Sea. Broadway North of Harbor Prom, 583-8382. Services Sunday 8:00 and 10:00 AM, open Memorial Day to mid-September. Jewish: Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services held at St. Andrew’s, schedule to be posted.

BASKETBALL COURT Court and playing field are reserved for use of residents of Saltaire and their guests only. These facilities & PLAYING FIELD are open daylight hours or as posted. Times of play are strictly enforced. Any activity on or use of facilities must be authorized in advance by Village Recreation Director.

SALTAIRE YACHT Members-only private club. Bay Promenade at Marine Walk. Bar, food, movies, tennis & sailing. Open CLUB seasonally May – Sept., schedule is posted.
