    Jaarverslag secretariaat DSS honk/softbal 2019 We zijn gewoon, het jaarverslag aan het begin van het seizoen voor iedereen ter inzage te geven, dat is dat jaar dus anders, het is inmiddels al juni. Lekker in het seizoen dus maar helaas, de coronacrisis heeft ons in de greep gekregen en de gevolgen liegen er niet om. Dat honk -en softbal nu op een lager plan komen, is niet meer dan logisch en we kunnen alleen maar hopen dat dit vreselijke virus snel onder controle te krijgen is. Met al die slachtoffers, de enorme druk op de zorg met ook nog eens het gevolg, dat vele mensen in de financiële problemen gekomen zijn, bedrijven op de tocht staan, dan is honk -en softbal daarbij vergeleken nu van minder belang. Dat neemt niet weg, dat het voor DSS en uiteraard voor elke club die onze mooie sporten beoefent inhoudt, dat er al maanden geen clubhuis inkomsten zijn, maanden geen sport, en zie dat maar eens te overleven. De (huur)kosten lopen immers gewoon door. Hopelijk komt er in de loop van de zomer toch een lichtpuntje en kunnen ook honk -en softbal weer aan echte matches gaan denken. Natuurlijk speelt Corona zich niet in 2019 af, maar de input hiervan is dusdanig groot dat je er niet aan voorbij kunt gaan en dàt midden in de onderzoeken naar samenwerking tussen Kinheim en DSS. In augustus 2019 zijn van beide clubs onderzoeksteams geformeerd, van DSS-zijde hebben Bas vdr Ham en Michael Halderman hier zitting in en in de loop van 2019 is dat onder- zoek dus gestart en resulteerde dat in begin Januari 2020, vlak voor Covid-19 via een Buitengewone Algemene Leden- vergadering tot het beluit om een concreet fusie voorstel uit te gaan werken, waarbij van beide clubs een aantal leden in de hiervoor te formeren werkgroepen dit dus verder uit gaan bouwen met als doel om per 1 januari 2021 tot een fusie tussen beide clubs te kunnen komen.

Enerzijds leverden onze A-teams uitstekende prestaties. De softbalsters Algemeen werden voor de derde keer op rij Europees kampioen en de KNBSB-congres 4 honkballers schaarden zich bij de topvier van de wereld. Er is VSK en Clusterbijeenkomsten 5 blijdschap over het vaststellen van het Meerjaren Beleidsplan 2013-2016 in het eerste bondscongres, met daarin vier stevige Topsport peilers die de toekomst van onze mooie sporten en de organisatie Nederlands team honkbal 6 daaromheen moet schragen. Honkbal Jong Oranje 8 Talentontwikkeling 9 Anderzijds is er ook boosheid en zijn er zorgen. Die boosheid is Honkbal hoofdklasse 10 vooral gericht op NOC*NSF. Het is onbegrijpelijk dat onze nationale All Star Game/EBLT 12 sportkoepel de prestaties en resultaten van onze softbalsters maar Curaçao Baseball Week 13 niet wil erkennen. Ondanks dat de Beroepscommissie ons bezwaar Nederlands team softbal 14 tegen het afwijzen van financiële steun heeft gehonoreerd, lukt het de Softbal Jong Oranje 16 sportkoepel maar niet z’n ‘verlies’ te nemen en tot volwaardige steun Softbal hoofdklasse 17 van onze softbalsters over te gaan. Als we in de sport spreken over ‘sportiviteit en respect’, dan geeft NOC*NSF met haar besluit zelf het European Coach Clinic/Opleidingen 19 verkeerde voorbeeld.
